This should be a great way to motivate me to finally read some of the classics that have been sitting on my shelves too long.

You have some of my favourite books on your list...Jane Eyre, Frankenstein, Catch 22, The Hound of the Baskervilles, Lolita...I'll be reading Beowulf next year too :)

I read Phantom of the Opera, The Picture of Dorian Gray and Lolita this year with this group.

I still haven't got around to reading Jane Eyre, but I'd like to.

Wonderful choices. I have read about half of your list and there's not a clinker in the bunch. Of the ones I have not read, all are on my "can't wait to read list", except The Divine Comedy, that one scares me. I will be looking forward to see what you think about it. I think you will enjoy your selections.

That one scares me too Bob, that's why I'm starting just with Inferno next year, then I'll see.

I have East of Eden on my list this year as well. It seems to be a popular one!

looks like a great list, Gone with the Wind is one of my all time favorites. I'll be reading Lolitatoo, hear it's great.
