Deborah Pickstone | 563 comments On your marks, get set......GO! race ya! :)

I see you didn't share my enjoyment of Bootlegger's Daughter secondary characters - I know it's not great literature but I loved that aspect! It made me laugh out loud which doesn't happen often. I blame a well-developed sense of the ridiculous.

Overbooked ✎ (kiwi_fruit) | 800 comments I'm always fascinated how the same book affect readers differently, for me that book was OK, but I can see where you're coming from.

haha, I'm not going to even try to race you ... I'm scared to ask how many books have you already finished :-)

I've decided to start the year with a long one, to get a heavyweight out of the way early on, it's The Goldfinch. I've started yesterday and not gone were far with it, the pace is slower that I'd like.
I'll probably start another book tonight to read concurrently.

Deborah Pickstone | 563 comments Have read book 5 and 6 of the Masters of Rome series and have just begun the last one - so that'll be 3 very large books read to begin the year.
