The YA Book Club discussion

I love fantasy, but have hardly read any because I don't know how to find good ones. The only real fantasy I have picked up and liked was Elantris by Brandon Sanderson, but that was a little dark at first for me. I don't like there to be lots of action, but a little is okay. I like to spend time exploring the worlds with the characters at a slower pace. I don't care much for romance. Thank you for any and all help.
