message 2: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Okay. Hi. Do you want character sheets or just start?

message 3: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments I usually prefer Character sheets, but I'm good with whatever you prefer.

message 4: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Okay. Can you make your character first?

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments Kellin Quinn, I love it :D
do you want to start?

message 8: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) xD Sure.

Alec walked over to his large group of friends. He was part of the popular crowd and would do anything to stay in that crowd and to fit in.

message 9: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments Maya breathed a sigh and stared at the school doors infront of her. "just make it through today.....and then four more after that." she murmured to herself before taking a deep breath and going inside. She hated mondays, well any day that was a school day really. It wasn't that she hated education, it was just everything else along the way, no matter how much she tried to blend in, it never worked. She could never make herself dissappear enough.

message 10: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) All of Alec's friends glared at Maya as she walked into school. A couple of his friends started whispering to Alec, telling him to go pick on her. Alec sighed and shook his head. "Come on, Alec. You want to hang with us then go over there. We all know that girl deserves to be picked on." One of the girls in his group said. He sighed and began walking over toward the girl.

message 11: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments Maya kept her gaze on the floor as she walked to her locker. Once there she expertly spun the dial to the correct combination and opened it. Quickly she scanned over the stack of books on the top shelf before grabbing one labeled 'Geography'. Once she was sure she had everything she closed the locker and clicked the lock back into place.

message 12: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) After Maya had closed her locker, Alec shoved her into the wall of lockers. He liked fitting in and being part of the popular crowd but hated that he had to bully people to stay in his crowd. He kept his eyes focused on the girl, watching for her reaction. "Come on girl, aren't you gonna fight back?" He taunted her.

message 13: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments So it begins. In a way it was shocking to her that she had made it that far without something happening before this. She hugged her books close against her and just kept her head down. She was numb to everything, she had learned that if she didn't react sometimes it made it not as bad, but other times, it made it worse. it was worth the gamble though.

message 14: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alec swallowed hard. He felt horrible bullying this girl. "Come on, Maya. Are you just gonna stand there or are you going to fight back?" He taunted her. He kept his eyes on Maya. Alec glared at her, wondering if she would fight back.

message 15: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments She took a deep breath, wishing she could somehow just teleport somewhere else or something. "....I will never stoop to your level..." she murmured, realizing all too late that it had probably been a bad decision to say that. She bit the inside of her lip, trying to keep herself from doing anything else stupid that would end up costing her in the long run.

message 16: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "Stoop to my level? You know you've got that wrong. You can't even get close to my level." He glared at the girl. He bit his lower lip, hating every second that he had to be mean to Maya. "You know what, you'll never be anything good. You'll never be worth anything." Alec practically spat the words at her. He turned and stormed down the hall, away from his friends.

message 17: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments Maya watched him walk away. She breathed a tired sounding sigh and tried to push what he had said from her mind. It was of no use though, the words just kept echoing in her mind. She started towards her geography class, half hoping that by some freak accident one of the precariously hung light fixtures would come crashing down on her, just so she wouldn't have to finish out this day.

message 18: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alec pulled up the hood on his jacket hiding his face. He felt horrible about teasing Maya. He knew that if he didn't bully her then he would lose his spot with the populars and would become one of the people that they bullied but that didn't make what he did right. He sighed softly walking toward his class. Luckily, none of his friends had the same classes as him.

((Should they be in the same class?))

message 19: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments Maya walked into class only a few moments before the tardy bell rang. She took her usual spot, in the corner at the back of the class. There she could day dream or write or what ever she felt like really without much of a chance of the teacher catching her.

((sure, if you want to.))

message 20: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alec heard the tardy bell ring and sighed. He hurried toward his geography class hoping he wouldn't get a detention. He walked into the class and the teacher barely noticed him. He slipped into a desk near the wall. Alec glanced around the room and saw Maya. He sighed softly seeing her.

message 21: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments Maya opened her book to a random page. She had no intention of paying attention today. Instead she pulled out a notebook and opened it to a clean page. She stared at the blank lines for a bit, waiting for inspiration to hit her.

message 22: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alec only half paid attention to the teacher. It was a boring lesson today. He tore out a page from his notebook and began to write. He was writing a note to Maya. It read, 'Maya- I'm truly sorry for picking on you. I would explain but I know you don't want to hear it. I'm honestly sorry. Alec'. He folded the paper in half and turned to the person behind him. "Can you pass this back to Maya please?" He whispered softly. The guy behind him nodded and passed the note back to Maya.

message 23: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments Maya had just begun to write when a note was placed on her desk. She glanced up and around her, making sure the teacher wasn't watching. Once she was sure it was safe she picked it up and opened it. She read over the note and when she saw the name at the bottom she rolled her eyes. People like him never change, She thought to herself before crumpling up the note and tossing it into a nearby trashcan.

message 24: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alec glanced back at Maya and saw her toss the note into the trash. He sighed softly, turning back to the teacher. He felt horrible about bullying her but wanted to keep his status as one of the populars. He kept his focus on the teacher just wanting the day to be over.

message 25: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments Maya went back to writing. It was better to let her mind drift than to dwell in the present. She still had the rest of the day ahead of her, and who knew what would be in store for her.

((wanna skip ahead a bit?))

message 26: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) ((Sure. How far do you want to skip?))

Alex paid attention to the teacher taking notes on what they said. He couldn't wait until he could go home. At least at home he didn't have to lie and be someone who he really wasn't. He bit his lower lip, doodling on the corners of the page.

message 27: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments ((I guess to when she looses/he finds the notebook? That's where everything will really pick up.))

Maya filled up an entire page of paper quickly, then looked up at the clock. She sighed, seeing there was still a good twenty minutes or more to the class. It was going to be a long day.

message 28: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) ((Sure. Could you start please?))

Alec kept taking notes and did the assignment like he was supposed to do. He bit his lower lip, looking at the clock. Class seemed to be moving extremely slowly. He bent back over the page, drawing on the corners to pass the time.

message 29: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments ((yeah, no problem))

Maya sighed and walked to the detention room, holding a pale pink slip of paper in her hands. She had been late to class, all because of some hold up in the hall by a couple of boys, yet she was the one with the detention. She had gained a few bruises along her arms from the encounter, but mostly had gotten away unscathed with only the inconvenience of having her books knocked out of her hands. She reached the door of the room that would be her prison for the next hour. She hesitated, taking a deep breath before she finally pushed the door open and walked in.

message 30: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) ((Sorry.... Quick question, should Alex find her book in the hall or is he in the detention room?))

message 31: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments ((idk, you can pick which ever you like, I left it kind of vague so you would have options :) ))

message 32: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alec was walking down the hall, heading to detention. His eyes were on the floor in front of him. He hoped that none of the people he hung out with would be there. He stopped seeing a tattered black notebook on the floor by a row of lockers. Alec bent and picked up the notebook. He opened it looking for the name of the owner. He didn't see a name so he closed the notebook. Instead of tossing it back on the ground or in the trash, he opened his backpack and slipped it inside. He bit his lower lip and walked to the room. Alec pushed the door open and slipped into the detention room.

message 33: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments Maya sat at the front, too afraid of what would happen if she sat in the back with the 'troublemakers'. She pulled out her math book and started scribbling down problems and solving them. At least detention gave her time to do her homework, but it still wasn't desirable. If she kept herself busy maybe the hour would pass by quickly.

message 34: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alec looked around the room and sighed softly, seeing Maya. He sat down a few desks away from her. Alec dug out his binder and began working on some of his English homework. He didn't mind being in detention. Detention let him be away from his group and his family so it was like a favorite place for him.

message 35: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments An hour and three finished homework assignments later, detention was finally released. Maya gathered her things as everyone else rushed to the door. She didn't mind leaving last, as long as she didn't have to fight to get out the door. She shoved everything into her book bag and zipped it up before swinging it over her shoulder.

message 36: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alec barely even noticed as detention ended. He finished his English homework before putting it back in his backpack. He stood up, swinging his backpack over his shoulder. Alec spoke softly, standing next to Maya. "I'm sorry." He hoped that she would hear her. Alec bit his lower lip, walking toward the door.

message 37: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments Maya stood still for a minute, not sure how to respond. She wasn't going to sat it was okay, because it wasnt. Instead she watched him walk to the door, figuring it was best to wait a little bit longer and let him get a head start.

message 38: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alec sighed softly, walking out the door. He pulled up the hood on his jacket as he walked down the hall. He wasn't sure if Maya had even heard him or not. Alec walked slowly down the hall, not wanting to go home.

message 39: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments After a couple minutes Maya walked out of the detention room, hurrying towards the door. She couldn't wait to get out of here and just go home, where she could get some peace.

message 40: by Fallen (last edited Dec 08, 2014 05:22PM) (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alec stopped at the doors that led out of the school. He didn't want to go home, but he didn't want to be at school either. He took a deep breath staring out the window of the door.

message 41: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments Maya walked around the long way and used the back doors to exit the school. There was less chance of running into people there. Once outside she started on her way to the park, like she did most days. There she would have a place to think and clear her mind, it also did her some good to get some fresh air instead of just heading back home and staying up in her room the rest of the night.

message 42: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alec sighed and pushed open the door. He walked home, keeping his head down. He got back to his house where he lived with his mother and three younger siblings. Alec put his backpack in his room and took out the tattered black notebook before going back to the kitchen to help his siblings with their homework. He sat down next to his sister, opened the notebook and began to read it.

message 43: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments Maya walked to the center of the park and sat on the edge of the fountain. She watched the ripples roll through the water, watching how even towards the edge, a couple stray drops of water from the main stream made big splashes.

message 44: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alec kept reading the notebook. He would stop occasionally to help his siblings with their homework. Alec glanced at the clock and sighed. He would have to cook dinner since his mom would be at work for a while still. He turned his attention back to the notebook. He smiled slightly, reading what the person wrote.

message 45: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments After a couple minutes, Maya picked up her book bag and started home. She took the long way, knowing that if she took the short way at this time she would probably run into trouble or something. She didn't mind the walk anyway.

message 46: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alec smiled, reading the words the person had wrote. He was amazed by the writing. After about half an hour, Alec closed the notebook and took it back up to his room where it would be safe. He had read almost half of it already. He came back to the kitchen and started cooking dinner for him and his sister and two brothers.

message 47: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments Maya had made it up to her room a while ago, in detention she had gotten all of her homework done, so now she just had a free night. She sighed, wondering what to do. After a couple minutes she just decided to write a little. She dumped the contents of her backpack onto the bed and started looking for her notebook. it wasn't there. She checked again, starting to get a little anxious. She took a deep breath and put everything back in order, surely she had just left it in her locker.

message 48: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alec sighed. He had finished cooking for his siblings and had eaten. He looked at the clock and bit his lower lip, his mom would be home soon. He hoped that she would be in a good mood. She was a good mother to her four children but had occasionally hit them especially if she had a bad day. Normally she would hit Alec because he would protect his younger siblings. He went up to his room and finished his homework.

message 49: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 651 comments Maya laid back on her bed and stared up at the ceiling. As the sun sunk lower and lower in the sky the room just kept getting darker and darker, until finally it was pitch black.

message 50: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) ((Should we skip to the next day?))
