Wow! First of all, this is an author that is not afraid to kill of characters, even characters who seemed pretty central to the plot. Secondly, this author can write battles! Dirty, gritty, things don’t go as planned battles. And thirdly, this author does not spoon-feed the reader. I find myself rereading passages to make sure I know (somewhat) what is going on.

This middle book in the series is SO good—complex, multi-layered. Just as some plot threads get resolved, new ones flow naturally out of the action.

I would love a glossary...

Yes. Too few authors dare to do what this one has in this series - I really wish the field had more books written to this caliber. So happy to see you enjoying the series. For me, it was a breath of fresh air after reading a lot of stories that were good, even well written, but didn't have the depth or the scope of this one.
