Jonel Feel free to use this thread to suggest different things that you'd like to see in this group.

message 2: by Jonel (new)

Jonel Hmmm... I'll have to look in to that. Perhaps it's time to start a new reading sprints tab, a 'reading sprints 2.0' of sorts. I'll try and do so this weekend. :)

Adrianna [SypherLily] (sypherlily) | 276 comments I don't know if anyone uses raidcall, but having raidcall for the group, and then separate rooms for threads similar to the sprints would be really helpful.

~☆~Autumn I like polls!

message 5: by Audrey (new)

Audrey Lee Maybe we could have a monthly read?

message 6: by Shaunesay (new)

Shaunesay I have posted a poll inquiring about interest in group reads. :) Open until Sept. 23rd.

Ashley (JaffaCaffa) (jaffacaffa) | 166 comments I'm not sure where to put this but I was wondering if it's necessary to put the previous group reads as archived? I understand the want of people reading the books together, I was just thinking there might be more comments of people reading the books afterwards of those who missed out could still comment their thoughts and still have a sense of community. I think it might help with more people adding their thoughts, but I could be completely wrong and everyone would just ignore it after the time's up regardless. It's just something I noticed with other book clubs on goodreads and thought I'd mention it. :)

message 8: by Shaunesay (new)

Shaunesay Ashley, I think it's an auto thing, because I've brought them back in several times and they still end up back down there. If I can figure out how to stop that I will, because I think they should stay too! I'm guessing it has to do with putting dates on the books.

Ashley (JaffaCaffa) (jaffacaffa) | 166 comments Ah okay, that makes sense. Thanks for letting me know. :)

message 10: by Leticia (new)

Leticia (leticiatoraci) Perhaps 2 week long readathons per month?

message 11: by Shaunesay (new)

Shaunesay 2 read-a-thon's each a week long or one that lasts for 2 weeks?

message 12: by Shaunesay (new)

Shaunesay ah ok, I see, I found the conversation. Let me think on that.

message 13: by Leticia (new)

Leticia (leticiatoraci) 2 of one week or one of two weeks, or both, lol

Could be fun, but the schedule might need a bit of tweaking for them not to be back to back..

message 15: by Shaunesay (new)

Shaunesay They would have to overlap with something, I looked at participation on the 24 hour, and it still seems pretty popular, so I don't want to get rid of anything.

Yeah, I think that for some people, the week longs are overwhelming and they are more likely to participate in a shorter one, for some the week longs are the more effectual, and for others, they enjoy both. If they were overlapping, I think that participation might drop in both.

message 17: by Tammie (new)

Tammie Tackett how about some reading challenge and a month long read-thon

message 18: by Jenny (new)

I can definitely agree to this!!!!!

message 21: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Dunton (nikkiereads) I'd also like to find a way we can make group reads work. Is there a way we can have a chat somewhere? Is that something we can look into?

message 22: by Leticia (new)

Leticia (leticiatoraci) Are we still picking a book of the month or series for every three months?

I was trying to do some buddy reads on a discussion thread but lately haven't tried.
