This book is amazing on so many levels. It is funny, dramatic, irreverent, and completely compelling. Even if it doesn't win in the polls, I'd recommend it.

I second this nomination!

I Was Here
Thirteen Reasons Why"
You may second as many as you like, but only nominate one. Which book do you prefer?

I student recommended this book to me. I don't think I would have picked it up on my own, but it was a fun read.

When I was following up on nominations, I noticed this is actually a dystopia, not realistic fiction. Do you want to do a buddy read with me next month?

Want to plan to start around March 9?
I will set up a thread when it gets closer. And any one else who wants to can join in.

The GENRE for this month is REALISTIC FICTION. It is often enjoyable to get lost in a fantasy world, but sometimes you need to experience a fictional version of here and now. Nominate a great YA realistic fiction book for our March group read. It can be funny or sad--challenging or jubilant, so long as it follows the rules below.
Rules Reminder:
- Members have 7 days to nominate books. (February 9 - 16)
- One nomination per member.
- Members may second as many nominations as they wish. The top 5 nominations will be part of the polls
- Nominations need to be YA nominations only.
- Book must be first in a series or a standalone.
- Book must be at least 3 months old, so members don't have to fight with new release waitlists at the library.
- Book must also be available in print and not just ebook form.
- No author promotions allowed.
Next Steps:
After nominations, the books will go to a poll for 7 days to determine the winner.
