Red Rising in January?

Books picks happen several ways. Tom or Veronica just choose (Individually or together), we have a poll or some book is topical (Movie coming out, big new release or they liked the guest and chose their book)
Suggestions from listeners are sometimes chosen if their is a push from other book club members.
Tom is going to do a poll for the January pick. It was mentioned in the latest podcast (out today)
He hasn't said when it will start or the books yet.
Maybe Red Rising will be a choice if Tom sees this thread. :-)

Thanks, Tassie.
I just listened to that podcast. I must have been distracted. Thanks for the info.

Here's the thread for the voting.
I picked up Red Rising because it was on sale recently. It might be a fun pick, but almost certainly won't be January's.

My goal for this year was to read all the Sword and Laser books picked, or at least make a good faith attempt at each one, and then listen to the wrap-up podcast for each book. I did end up giving up on a couple because I wasn't enjoying them, but I consider my goal completed.
I've recently become a faithful follower/Patreon backer of the show (yay!) and let me start out by saying, you guys are awesome and have successfully replaced my Spotify playlist during every car ride.
Anyway, I'm unsure how book picks work, or if you've already selected a choice for January, but as far as I can tell, you guys have not read "Red Rising" or really even talked about it in any of your previous episodes (could be wrong. I'm currently listening to all your older material). As is stated on the calendar, PB's sequel to RR, "Golden Son" hits the shelves mid-January. To celebrate, I think it would be great to read his first big hit, and you guys should totally get him on the show. He's a young, intelligent guy, who seems to be rising through the ranks of authorship gracefully and deservedly. RR is a wonderful sci-fi and is quite the page-turner.
So say we all?
