I made a start, just a few pages. Starts right where last one left off. Not had time to read more today, will have more time in morning.

I'm intending to start today. In between cooking for Christmas Day, cleaning the house etc LOL.

Snuck in the first three chapters in between chores.

Chapters 1-3

Queen Annoura is going to cause much trouble, I believe. Also what's up with Adrial? He seems to be suffering some side effects from the "sex weave" that the others didn't. (hide spoiler)]

I had a great Christmas Day but glad it is over and I can get back to my normal routine which means reading.

I'm up to Chapter 11. I thought it was really interesting about Gaelen. (view spoiler)[ He thinks that Elly is the Mage's daughter and that's going to cause huge problems when in fact it appears she is the daughter of the two imprisoned in the dungeon. Is the Dad a Tairen Soul? That would make sense and the Mage has some how surpressed Elly's magic. (hide spoiler)]

I'm glad you had a good Christmas. Mine was great too, the day is almost over. And yes, be glad to get back into normal routine and more reading.

I'm in middle of chapter 6 and just had Gaelen's POV. So I'm interested to see where you are. I'll have plenty of time to read more tomorrow.

OOh, More about Elly's parents, I got that a bit wrong..(view spoiler)[ They are powerful fey and it was they who spirited Elly away from the Mage and bound her powers. Interesting. (hide spoiler)]

That was really surprising. (view spoiler)[ That Gaelen went to the city to kill Elly and she inadvertently turned the tables on the situation and healed him. Nice! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 17.

All the story threads are coming together. (view spoiler)[ There is proof that Elly is not the Mage Lord's biological child but Rain has gone away in a huff because he thinks she is. And the magic has been worked on Laurie to betray her daughter with an exorcism. The sh** is sure gonna hit the fan! I'm thinking something big is going to happen. (hide spoiler)]

I gave it a 3.5 - Fantasy isn't my favourite genre and all the total "soulmate" thing does get a bit overwhelming (Who wants someone to be able to read your every thought?) but the story is good and I like the characters especially the Fey in Elly's quintet such as Bel etc.

Danielle, do you want to go on with the 3rd book as a buddy read? I am overcommitted with Buddy Reads at the moment (Don't know what I was thinking, I was taken in by all the extra TT points, LOL) but I could do it around the 1 February, if you want to?

I wouldn't want anybody to read every thought, but I am liking how they both have issue even thought they are soulbound.

I totally understand overcommitting to buddy reads, I have as well. I was wanting to read it in January, but if February 1 is good for you, I can do that.
