My name is Ryan Krol, and I’m a first time self-published author. I released Syndrome on January 14, and it’s doing better than I thought it would for a first timer.
I write science fiction, adventure, thriller, suspense, mystery, crime, you name it. I cross genres a lot. For instance, my book is a mystery/thriller/suspense, but under the umbrella of science fiction.
My main storytelling influences are George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Alfred Hitchcock, Michael Crichton, Dan Brown, and Stephen King. Basically, all that goes into a blender, and you get a book like Syndrome.
I’ve been writing stories since I was 5 years old, worked in film, did sports writing for a while, and now I’m embarking on the journey I’ve always wanted to go on: writing books.
