This is not just one skyscraper, one factory, or one product. No, besides food and love, most things in the City are made here. The Factory is a cluster of skyscrapers towards the outside of the Middle City Slums. Most products of the City are made here -- textiles, toys, the few new books, the electronics, etc. A lot of the people of the Middle City Slums work here. The pay isn't good, but it is just barely enough that if both parents and perhaps an older kid or other relative work here, accommodations in the Middle City Slums are affordable.
