Well it's a good book, and at least you're giving them a go! That's all that matters! What is your 1st language, if I may ask?

I've only read the first one in the Iron King series Nikita, and then got side-tracked, does it continue to be as amazing as the first book?

Good, then I just have to get through my current books and then I shall jump back to that series, as well as the Mortal Instruments series.

I think quite a few of us who learned English as a first language might trouble with that book! I've never read it, myself. You're a brave woman!

I'm into School Spirits and it's throwing me for a loop, that it's in the perspective of Izzy, at least so far (I'm not that far into it)!

Christina Rochester (christinarochester) The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling. Only a couple of years late after I promised to read it as soon as it was released.

message 22: by Katy (new)

Katy H (the_other_katy) | 223 comments I thought Casual Vacancy was good, Christina. I think I appreciate it more now than I did when I read it, but still - it's J.K. Rowling!

Oh my goodness, I asked for it for my birthday the year it was released and I'm too afraid to read it.. I'm worried it won't live up to J.K.'s amazingness with the HP series.

message 26: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 400 comments I'm rereading Need (Need, #1) by Carrie Jones for a buddy read. Then after I'm probably going to start A Kiss in Time by Alex Flinn

message 27: by Christina (new)

Christina Rochester (christinarochester) @Savannah You should enjoy it so long as you don't expect it to be anything like Harry Potter. It's much more real and focuses on a wide range of everyday people and what goes on behind closed doors.

Of course there are characters I hate, but in the same way that I hated Umbridge. Well written and thought out characters who you're just meant to despise.

Christina Rochester (christinarochester) Currently reading Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy. Saw a lot of negative reviews about it before reading but so far I personally think its better than the others. Although I think thats because whilst reading the others my mind was automatically comparing them to the films and I don't have a comparison to make here

So far I love it! I am a slow reader and lately I have been interrupted every time to get started and multiple times, so it's affected the storyline a bit, lol.
I will be looking for more books by Ruta for sure! :)
