Roxana (luminate) | 775 comments Ideas for May prompts--

May Day
2. Read a book with a colorful cover: The Priory of the Orange Tree, or Book of Longing
3. Read a book where a character is a tradesman who works with their hands. Whispers Under Ground fits this, with all the potters for start, but I might want to use it on the Cinco de Mayo prompt instead.

Cinco de Mayo
3. Read a book that is part of a series that contains a multiple of five books in the series (5 books, 10 books, 20 books, etc. in the series, but you can read any book of the series): Whispers Under Ground (counting the two novellas, there are currently 10 books in this series), or one of the Aubrey-Maturin books (there are 20 finished novels in the series).

May Birthdays: Frank L. Baum
1. Read a children's/middle grade/YA book. (You can ignore the 100 page rule.): I have a lot of kids' books I plan to read to my young nephew & niece over zoom this month, I'm sure I'll hit it!
2. Read a book with a female main character that leaves home: Farthing

Mother's Day
1. Read a book that starts with a letter in MOTHERS DAY: The Deck of Omens (done)
2. Read a book that features someone's relationship with their mother: Farthing
