Aikya Param | 2 comments I haven't tried to do this yet, but I have found the magazine DRAWING informative and inspiring. See http://www.northlightshop.com/art-mag...

Captelaine | 4 comments I have purchased the magazine before in a book store. A lot of people are VERY VERY good at pencil/charcoal drawings, and for someone wanting to learn to do detailed pencil drawings it would be a great magazine. It isn't a media I'm particularly interested in (pencils that is), and not a skill I think I'd live long enough to get good at… ink and watercolor for me. I do subscribe to Watercolor Artist which I like, and Plein Aire which is mostly oil painter focused, but occasionally they feature a watercolor artist like Brenda Swenson.

Valerie Brown | 2 comments Just popping in to say thanks to Aikya for suggesting Drawing magazine. I was in a local Chapters and I happened to notice an issue (turns out it was the summer one, but that's ok) of Drawing, so I bought it! It has lessons on how to draw the nose and mouth, which have been problematic for me.

Anyhow, I probably wouldn't have even looked for it if it hadn't been suggested here!
