sana j (sanaj) | 2 comments Hi!
I am a reader from Pakistan and I have recently joined the reviewing community and one thing I have noticed is that there are not much reviewing opportunities for reviewers outside US/UK Canada e.t.c.
I am talking about hardcover and paperback A.R.C. Although we can get e-books its nearly impossible to get physical versions of the book.
can someone do something about this please?

Ella Unfortunately, no one can "do" much about the lack of physical copies going around outside of the US and UK. Shipping costs a lot so not every author can cover it. I've found that if you make a connection with the author and interact more with them, they get the feel for you and your reach as a reviewer and might feel like covering the shipping cost is a fair trade for the review you write and share. Personally, I prefer physical copies because it's easier on the eyes and I tend to rate those books higher (It's easy to forget ebooks are finished products and not unfinished manuscripts because I do editing). Sometimes I accept ebooks if I really like the story premise and don't have a bunch of physical copies waiting to be read. If you're like me and much prefer physical copies, you'll probably have to stick to your own books to review and will only get an occassional physical ARC. To get more physical ARCs the best thing is to build credibility and show that your reviews are well-written and that you have a reasonably good reach in the community.

I hope this helps! :)
