After I saw The Mist (2007) I was so furious that I absolutely had to read the original story. And I was left flummoxed once again. There was another entry made in 2017, a short-living TV series, which I haven't seen yet.
I am curious what are you going to think of this story and its adaptations. Please share your thoughts and impressions!
I've read the short story and seen the 2007 movie, both of which I enjoyed despite the very different endings in each. I'm currently watching the 2017 TV series and liking it too. That's too bad that it got cancelled as I think it's an interesting interpretation of the story. What I like about all of them is the emphasis on how people react to extraordinary circumstances - there's quite a range of responses that get explored.
I watched the film but haven't read the story. I loved the movie. But I like monster movies. My dad hated the ending which he said was too loudly telegraphed. Does the story have a different ending?
