I'm sorry Kat! It's way too easier to get distracted from our escapist reading with realistic (real life) distractions right now. I try to focus on the positives I've seen from communities during this time. Crises bring out both the awesomeness and awfulness in humanity - but during normal times the news/media focus is on the all our awfulness. I've enjoyed seeing some focus on the good things people are doing for each other.

There are so many good stories out there and it does seem, for a change, that there is a lot of focus on that. I'm grateful for that!

Still distracted though.

My house is cleaner and more organized than it has been in a very long time though! 🤣 (You would think I could be listening while I clean, but I'm even failing at that!🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️)

I know - reading is not the same right now! I just finished my 3rd book this month - normally I would be on my 6th. ~sigh~ Granted my 2nd and 3rd books were 15+ and 16+ hours in audio, but still. I think a lot of it for me is no car time - I used to have LOTS of car time. But I'm also a little obsessed with the news, so that isn't helping... 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes! The lack of driving (while a nice change of pace, and cheaper on the wallet) really messes with my audiobook time. I also would use the evenings after the kids went to bed and I was packing lunches and cleaning up for the evening to listen. Such a different world we live in now!
