Hey Sophie! I've started (and finished) re-reading the chapters I'd previously read. The plan was to skim through but I ended up reading it again - it's so good!

Chapter 1

Edge of the seat gripping!

(view spoiler)[ Huh. You know when Senator Cruz insists that she isn't lying and has everyone's best interests at heart? Wonder why Ruby doesn't do a quick brain scan to cross check.

Chapter 3
(view spoiler)[“The only question is if you’re willing to risk being part of the fallout when he figures out how to do it.” So true! What is he going to do?!
Cole's Team A, I'm not sold on it. Why isn't one of the Green girls who's memorised the research with them? That's top priority. What if the girls don't make it?
“God. Even Stewart family drama is boring,” Clancy said sullenly. LOL. I like how whiny/grumpy Clancy is being, now that things aren't going his way (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 4

Chapter 9
(view spoiler)[ Huh, didn't expect Clancy to pull a new trick at this stage. It's making me nervous that he's so relaxed! (hide spoiler)]

I really like how Ruby's character keeps developing into...more.

Chapter 11
(view spoiler)[ I've a newfound sympathy for Clancy. I get why he'd want to burn everyone and everything in his path.

Did you feel like the Ruby's reaction to the Cate thing was a lil too much? I dunno, I like Cate but I'm not a huge fan of her, what with her being with Rob in the first place, which wasn't sufficiently explained. Also, her call of running off to get those lame agents back felt too naive (hide spoiler)]

I am so sorry, life got super busy all the sudden. But I'm still reading this!

Poor Chubs, losing his glasses. That'd be me ugh. And poor Chubs, everyone makes fun of him.

It's nice that we're back to car trips, it's such a familiar thing in this series haha. (hide spoiler)]

Hey, sorry I was off GR for a while cos things got crazy at workplace. I've finished reading it but I'm quite disappointed to be honest.

The first two books were soo goood and this as a conclusion? :-/ everything was very predictable, things that I kept anticipating, actually happened which I thoroughly disliked. No surprises whatsoever!

(view spoiler)[ Not enough kissing and Chubs and Zu were the highlights to be sure! I hated the way Cole's death was handled - it felt like a whim the author had and felt too forced. As if, yeah, the book's almost over and no one major's dead, Cole doesn't have a love interest and is likable so I'll finish him off with barely a two page mention (hide spoiler)]

How bout you, did you enjoy it much?

Started this a bit early.

Chapter 5: (view spoiler)[ I'm not really into it so far. I don't like the sort of love triangle vibe going on between Ruby and the two brothers. I also don't like all the going behind everyone else's backs. Also what on earth happened to Clancy? Did they just ditch him in the car and forget about him? Pretty confused about that. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 10: (view spoiler)[ I wish something would happen. In my opinion with me at this point in the book, I feel like the series is going downhill from book one. I liked book one more than book two and book three isn't going so well for me. I hope they can get Cate back somehow. I'm still not liking the secrecy, and it's distancing Ruby from her friends. I don't get why they don't deserve to know what's going on. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 14: (view spoiler)[ I'm starting to get really bored. This book feels so long and like nothing is happening. The stuff between Ruby and Liam is annoying, and I feel like Cole is being an asshole just to be an asshole. I wish some action would happen because the whole book is just people arguing and having no trust in each other. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 19: (view spoiler)[ I'm glad everyone finally made up, I was getting tired and seriously annoyed with all the fighting. The scene with Chubs and Vida had be trying to hold in my laughter. This book is moving so slow, and I'm pretty tired of having to wait for something to happen. They've been cooped up for too long, and I'm anxious for the hit on Thurmond. (hide spoiler)]

Prologue: (view spoiler)[ Interesting start to the final book of the trilogy. I think it is interesting how the colour black is associated with who they are as group. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5: (view spoiler)[ Zu is back! Yay! Not sure how I feel about Kate being back. She's never been my favorite.

I understand why Chubs, Liam, and Vida were angry at Ruby for being secretive. Her loyalty should be to them first and then Cole, not the other way around. Besides that I'm guessing Vida is jealous of Zu, that's why she got so angry when they met. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 8: (view spoiler)[ From the writing I sometimes get the feeling Ruby is unconsciously attracted to Cole. She keeps noticing and mentioning his body, the way his muscles move, his proximity. She doesn't mention that with anyone else, not even Liam.

Chapter 5: (view spoiler)[ I am really happy that Zu is back! I am wondering what happened to Clancy. Did they leave him somewhere? I am glad to see the characters again.
