I'm sorry for disappearing... I've been unwillingly phased out of this dimension.

Every year the story is s the same... the first weeks of a new job always disrupt my reading schedule. Basically, there are the books that I read in August, and the ones I read in late October. This year it's taken even longer than usual.

I'll try to get back on board, as far as possible.
I'd really love to take part in the Radch meeting, but I still haven't even started the saga. What's the timeline for the rest of us?
Incidentally, thanks for the Zoom invite on Halloween, but it was 9 pm in Europe and I was out with friends.

I don't believe it has been formally schedueld yet, but most likely towards the end of the month, so start reading/ listening now!

Don't forget to participate in voting for reread since this is part of the pool of books we use to determine future VBC books.

I've read the series and any Sunday in November would work for me.

I think I can finish the last book quickly enough If I concentrate on this one book.

And sorry for the delay, I’m just getting better from the stomach flu.

I have finish the third book, so I’m ready to meet anytime we can agree on.

I can't make a fancy poll like Allison, but how do we feel about December 8. This weekend is probably too soon and the following is a US holiday.

I personally request we start at 12EST instead of 11; otherwise I will be at least half an hour late.

I'm up for basically any Saturday or Sunday, but on Sunday I can't make it too late in the evening, because it's a school night and I need to get the kiddos to bed. My time is UTC+3.

I’m working on Saturday so any Sunday for me. We used to meet about 4-5 PM GMT and it was perfect for me.

I planned Ann Leckie as my big project for the autumn, yet here I am facing winter and I haven't even started the trilogy... not to mention Translation State, Provenance and the short stories. I don't even know whether it makes sense to start now. I might stick to The Raven Tower, since it's stand-alone.

I think you will really like [book:Ancillary Justice|17333324] and should just take the leap and start it. And if you only read the one book before the meeting, join anyway.

I've read the first Ancillary Book three times, the others once each. I'm okay with just about any time on a weekend, and have indicated as much on the poll :)

I can’t do the 15th (doing Carols by Candlelight service and I’m conducting, I kinda have to be there.

The earliest time slot has the most people who cam come, but there is a tie for the 8th vs the 15th, so which day y'all want?

Is there going to be a regular VBC in December? That might encourage us to do it earlier.

With nearly three weeks ahead, I might be able to finish the trilogy in time. Obviously you're welcome to pick up another date in the general interest, considering that I'm the only one that's lagging behind.

I don't have time to read the book by then, but I'll try and make it. I don't mind if it's the 8th or the 15th. :)

We need a volunteer to lead the meeting since I can't be there at the chosen time. I'm willing to send you a list of discussion topics if it will be helpful.
