I'm ok with using one on each weapon. That's not stacking them in my opinion since it's still just one on each weapon. (You can't use two on the same weapon to get a +6)

Yes, you can use it for the monsters.

Sloth - This one averages so if you have it on both then it'd add +3 to your averaged score.
Envy - I count this as potion based damage so it would count as an additive.
Pride - I think it's ok to treat this as an add-on when it's on the higher weapon since if your sword is normally 10 and you boost to 13, if you subtract your staff at 7 you end up with 6 whether you do it before or after.

Zuzana: Now we're discussing Rocky, how do you think it should be used in the Thesaurus battle?

Thesaurus has 30 AP, which is halved if you throw an unusual word at it.

So what is Thesaurus's actual Attack power if you have Rocky the pet and you throw a word at it?

Is it
a) 30/2=15 (word), 15-1= 14 (Rocky)
OR
b) 30-1=29 (Rocky), 29/2= 15 (word)?

Catherine: How does Rocky the Rock's defence ability work with the Queens? Does it blunt one off each of the queen's attacks or just one off one of their attacks? i.e. does it end up as -4 or -1?

not that I am at all close to being able to do anything other than hide in terror as the Queens rampage around the kingdom!

Kelly: One off each :) Same with swarm.

Zuzana: About the Queens: If I use a minor poison, does it affect all four queens or do I have to pick just one? (It would mean that to poison them all we'd need 4 minor poison potions).

Kelly: Hmm... The description says "Poisons the monster causing 2 amount of additional damage at the beginning of the turn." and monster is singular so I'd probably do each queen independently.

Zuzana: Reva, poison is a potion. So per rules it takes effect at the beginning of the round. In case of the minor poison potion it's at the beginning of every round after it was used first.

To simplify things we count the poison as +2 to our attack power and it works fine if you BOTH use it at the beginning of the first round AND you attack a single animal.

Kelly confirmed that you can poison only one animal at time, if you attack a pack of monsters you can deduct those 2 extra points only from health of the poisoned monster.

Is it right, Kelly?

Kelly: Yeah. I think we consider it as the monster is poisoned rather than it being a poisoned weapon. Which does lead to an interesting new potion that could be developed.

Cathy M: Sorry this is probably a stupid question but what would be included in "something gear driven"?

Kelly: Clocks and watches are the obvious ones but some other types of machinery could be included or probably most of a steampunk universe.

Kelly: "Today, gears are used on a daily basis. They are found nearly everywhere—in clocks, cars, odometers, scales, conveyor systems, meters and VCRs, just to name a few examples. Manufacturing companies rely on several various sizes of gears for production. Gears are also found in most mechanical devices."

Zuzana: Question re Essential Oils: For spell-it-out do we have to spell the "oil" part as well, example: "tea tree oil" or is "tea tree" enough? Reva asked the same question about "find in text" so it makes sense that the same applies for spell-it-out. I just want to be sure.

Kelly: You don't need to spell out oil but you may if you wanted the exp for the additional books.

• The Hydra - Pride - This head reacts to a strong presence unfettered by weaker things close to it. Your attack power for this head will be based on highest weapon minus lowest weapon (e.g. staff at 9, sword at 5, attack power is 4).

I was thinking attack power of highest minus attack power of lowest. So it would be choice b where the modifier gets canceled. The point of this monster was people with the greater weapon differences would have the easier time. (hide spoiler)]
