Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments For this challenge, you may read books of your own choice, but if you would like to earn some bonus points, then you need to read books which have the letters A, P, R, I or L in the title, author's name, or series name.

For each letter claimed, you will earn +2 bonus points, and you may claim a maximum of 5 letters per book, so the more letters claimed the more bonus points you will receive ☺

You can also earn more bonus points! For every time your team spells out the word 'April' by claiming bonus points, your team will earn a further +10 bonus points.

* You may also claim +2 bonus points if the word 'April' occurs in your book title or author's name.

* You may also claim +2 bonus points if your chosen book was published in April (any edition).

*Please note - you may use other editions of a book which have a different title, as long as the title is made up of English letters. Please link to the edition you are using when posting your review ☺

*'&' may be counted as 'and'.

* Numbers in titles may be used, but each number is counted individually, so '100' would be one-zero-zero (R, R), not one-hundred.

*Only one edition can be used to claim bonus letters, you cannot take two letters from one edition and three from another for example.

* You can use any name listed for your chosen book on Goodreads, including pseudonyms, and names of translators, narrators, editors, etc.

* You may use one edition for page count, and another for claiming bonus letters.

* * You may read any kind of book for this challenge, but the page counts necessary to claim bonus letters are the following -
- YA, NA, Adult, Non-fiction books (without illustrations) - 200 pages.
- Middle-grade/children's books (without illustrations) - 300 pages.
- Manga, graphic novels, plays, poetry, books written in verse, anything with some illustrations - 600 pages.
- Books which are mainly illustrations cannot be used.

You can only claim a maximum of +10 bonus points, so it's only worth using the 'published in April' if there aren't 5 letters you can claim. As you already claimed 5 letters you wouldn't be able to get the points for the book being published in April xx
