When, if ever, did you suspect that Noel Marchand was Sergio Martin, the man Sonia believed to be her father? Did you also suspect he wasn’t her biological father?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I decided that Noel and Sergio were the same person when Sonia recognized her father in the picture showing many human traffickers. I figured Noel would be in that picture, but they identified everyone else, so he had to be Sergio.

I didn't even think about the fact that Sonia was not his biological daughter. I can't imagine a guy dragging a kid around for years even if it was to his advantage. She'd be too much trouble in the long run.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments Me too, when she recognized him in the picture. I just knew she wasn't his daughter.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments I did not know they were one in the same until it was revealed. I may have had a suspicion, but it wasn't a big one. I was very surprised to learn that she wasn't his daughter. I did not see that coming.

Him being Sergio crept up on me gradually through the book. I didn’t have one “aha” moment but I knew well before the reveal. Him not being her biological father was a surprise, a great one!
