Salha (salhavam) | 557 comments Checking in :)
I'm about to finish a book I began reading on march 27th, so I think I'll use it for points. Is that okay?

Yes, if you started a book before April it will only count for page points :)

message 15: by Maya (new)

Maya White | 734 comments Hi hi I finished my first book Heartstopper Volume Three (Heartstopper, #3) by Alice Oseman . So I'm gonna upload the review shortly.

message 19: by Salha (new)

Salha (salhavam) | 557 comments I’ve been reading, but I haven’t had the chance to write and post the reviews.

message 20: by Maya (new)

Maya White | 734 comments Hi guys, I just finished Daughter of the Pirate King (Daughter of the Pirate King, #1) by Tricia Levenseller and am planning on posting the review for it later today. I'm then gonna start on Daughter of the Siren Queen (Daughter of the Pirate King, #2) by Tricia Levenseller !

message 21: by Maya (new)

Maya White | 734 comments Oh also guys, I removed Heartstopper Volume Three (Heartstopper, #3) by Alice Oseman from the spreadsheet cause it only counts for the points and not the challenge since it's a graphic novel. Sorry about that y'all!

Hello!

I realize.. that I might've thought of super hard tasks for this challenge. I haven't even found backstabber lol. So I will allow "backstab, backstabbing, backstabbed, or backstabber" in text.

Salha (salhavam) | 557 comments Hello!
I just posted two reviews on our review thread :)

message 24: by Salha (new)

Salha (salhavam) | 557 comments I was wondering if I could count The Walls Came Down by Ewa Dodd for the red, white and blue cover? It's only a light blue that it has, and it also has a bit of yellow and black :/
It's just that I'm currently reading Munro vs. the Coyote by Darren Groth and I could make it fit in the "Author's initials are in Hydra", since the author's name is Darren.

I will allow the walls came down for red, white, and blue. However, for author's initials in any word, for example HYDRA, the author's initials must be in the word.

For example, Helen Dunmore would work because of HD is in HYDRA.

Salha (salhavam) | 557 comments I found a category for the book I'm about to finish (Munro vs. the Coyote) :)
It's the Captain Marvel one, where the MC has or is a mentor.
The MC in this book constantly thinks of the advice his counselor back in Canada always gave him, and he also has constant meetings with his new counselor in Australia to help guide himself during his exchange.
Also, the MC joins a volunteering program in a home for the mentally disabled, and he's required to mentor the residents, help them with their crafts, skills, personal development, and he even helps one of them regain some of his memory.

message 28: by Salha (new)

Salha (salhavam) | 557 comments I still have two books on my TBR for this month, and I've found their categories :)
Soon I'll be starting The Glitch (The Glitches, #1) by Ramona Finn , which would fit in Iron Man 2: MPG Sci-fi.
And on April 27th I'll start a buddyread of Alex and Eliza (Alex & Eliza, #1) by Melissa de la Cruz , which fits in Captain America: MC is from New York. PLUS I'll get those extra points for the BR :)

message 29: by Salha (new)

Salha (salhavam) | 557 comments I already added The Glitch to our spreadsheet, by the way. I'll get started with it today :)

message 30: by Maya (new)

Maya White | 734 comments So hey guys! I finished both Daughter of the Siren Queen (Daughter of the Pirate King, #2) by Tricia Levenseller and The Princess Diarist by Carrie Fisher .

So I was thinking for DotSQ I could put it undee Iron Man 2- Revolves around a workplace romance because in the book they are Pirates and that's their job and technically the main character is the boss of the person she has a romance with. So I think it could technically fit under that category. But I have to ask about that.

And then for Princess Diarist, I was gonna put it under Iron Man 2- Feature a superstar. 'Cause this is a memoir from Carrie Fisher about her affair with Harrison Ford. And both Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher count as superstars. But again I have to ask about that.

Also, I'm almost done with The Deal (Off-Campus, #1) by Elle Kennedy , like about 100 pages from the end. And then I'll probably be able to finish The Girl in Cabin 13 (Emma Griffin FBI Mystery, #1) by A.J. Rivers by the 30th.

You should probably ask Alaina about Daughter of the Siren Queen, but I think you should be fine with Carrie Fisher's book :)

I just posted my review on The Glitch (The Glitches, #1) by Ramona Finn , and I'll get started with my BR of Alex and Eliza (Alex & Eliza, #1) by Melissa de la Cruz as soon as I get off work today.

message 32: by Maya (new)

Maya White | 734 comments Hi so I just sent a message to Alaina about both of the books.

I just finished and uploaded my review for The Deal under Iron Man- MC is a playboy.

And I'm trying to finish The Girl in Cabin 13 by the end of the month (2 days lol).

Hello team! Since a few people posted books for page points yesterday, I'm going to allow everyone that participated in this challenge post their books, that didn't work for any categories, for page points. It just seems fair to me.

You will have until midnight today (5/1) to post these in your team's chat.

They can only be books that were started and read in April.

I have closed off all review threads but will add the points tomorrow morning. If you have any questions - please PM me or message on your team's chat!
