Welcome to The Never Tilting World Buddy Read Discussion thread! This thread officially opens on April 1st and anyone can join at any time. Please keep in mind that spoilers are allowed in this thread but only up to the group's current reading place. Do not spoil the book if you've read further than the group. Any extra days can be used to catch up!

Each week we will be reading by chapters. The suggested Buddy Read discussion schedule is as follows:

Week of 4/1
April 1: Chapters 1-3
April 2: Chapters 4-6
April 3: Chapters 7-9
April 4: Chapters 10-12

Week of 4/5
April 5: Chapters 13-15
April 6: Chapters 16-18
April 7: Chapters 19-21
April 8: Chapters 22-24

Oh, you started it? I read two chapters last month when I tried to see if I'm going to like the book.

Since I haven't seen your answer to my question when we are going to start it, I kinda thought we'll first do We hunt the flame because we are reading that too and that had a definitive starting date. It's no problem, I'll catch up to you :D

ohhh! i'm sorry! I'm still new to the buddy reads and wasn't sure when i should post a message about the book XD i've been balancing both this and we hunt the flame, hence why i am so behind the schedule lol

Then do you want to read first We hunt the flame and after that we'll read this? I don't have another buddy read till April 20th so I'll be mostly free. Do you have other buddy reads happening?

How are you doing with the book?

I skimmed through the first two chapters, because I didn't want to read them again, and I read the other two chapters which means I'm now acquainted with all the characters. If I have to pick a character I like it would be Tianlan.

I'm still having trouble with picking it up, I just don't have the will to read it. I'm going to give it a few more chapters, but if it doesn't change my mind I'm probably going to DNF it.

Omg ok I’m not alone!!!!!!! I’m on chapter 8 and it’s truly boring me. I dont want to DNF it, but damn I really want to. Like I hate DNF a book but this one is dragging! I’ve even started skimming.

Ok so a friend in another group I’m in said that the first 1/3 is a lot of world building but once you get past that it gets better. But I am only at page 153 and that’s not considered past the 1/3 mark yet 😩

I’m in a Harry Potter readathon trying to read this for one of the subjects but I might have to find another. I was going to read We Hunt the Flame audible after I finished my school audible of Gone Girl

I'm all for DNF-ing 😃 The previous year I did DNF books, but not as much. I would push through some of the books even though I was not enjoying them, but this year.. I don't like you? Bye! I don't want to put myself in a slump or dread picking up the next book because I had not so great experiences with it.

I don't think I'm going to go past the 1/3 of the book 😂 If I give a book time to get my attention and not DNF it it's 30% or 100 pages..

Yeah, I'm doing the O.W.L.s too 😃 But this wasn't on my list.

I'm planning and hoping to get to where you are at today.. but no promises. Yesterday I had to force myself to read the two (or maybe three) chapters I did read, I constantly started doing ANY other thing except continue reading this.

We hunt the flame is good. I personally wasn't wowed by it but I did enjoy it and I'm looking forward to the sequel.

I'm intrigued, how school audible; you listening to it for school or.. I don't use audible so if it's an audible thing I still don't know what that means 😂

There's this thing that happens with me. I say I'll do something or I won't do something, and then the opposite of what I said just HAS to happen.

I just read Chapter Six. The one where Arjun finds out about the prophecy and that he has to go to the Abyss with Haidee. -.- I was intrigued, this chapter was interesting to me.

Chapter Seven.. noup, still not liking it, but maybe it's just because I don't care about the goddesses.

Chapter Eight. Definitely DON'T CARE about the goddesses.

And now I'm done with the book, officially DNF-ing it.

lol yea i put it t the side. I can't anymore...

I have to read gone girl for school, so i chose to listen to it on audible just to get it done faster. though it is seriously an innappropriate book to listen XD

How are you doing in the owls this year? what career are you doing? I have we hunt the falme on audible, might go to that after house of salt and sorrows. were you able to use we hunt the flame for any of the owl classes?

I didn't exactly pick a career. I'm interested in Culinary Sorcerer, Seer and Mage of Visual Arts so I'm maybe trying to do all, but I'll see how it'll go since one of my white cover books was also a no and I ended up DNF-ing it too. What's your career?

Yeah, I used it for the astronomy task, since I usually only have time to read/listen to books after work.

I chose auror for this year, I'll prob switch it next year. I was going to read Night Spinner for the charms class, not sure if that helps you?

ohhh! that's smart. i have a few kindle books that i get to read at night, though now i'm on the night shift, really any book i read now will be at night XD

Hmm, I wanted to give Night Spinner a look too.. I looked up on my paper where I wrote all possible books that I could use for the tasks and I have other two for charms, but thanks now I have three :D
