Tina (tinabeshers) As I am snug and safe in my home in Florida during these strange times, I’m going to have an Emma-thon. I’m starting with Jane Eyre‘s book, then I plan to binge watch movies. This will include the 1996 movie adaptation with Gwyneth Paltrow and the 2020 new release of Emma. (It’s not released for sale yet, but you can rent it online). I’m also planning on tossing the 1995 movie Clueless in the mix.

I definitely get the appeal of Pride and Prejudice, and I do enjoy that book, but Emma will always be my favorite.

Tina (tinabeshers) Oh, and there’s even an Indian movie adaptation, Aisha!(2010) I’ve added that to the list as well.

aga (venusinvelvet) I'm reading Emma right now, because of the new adaptation (which I adored) and it's quite fun so far.

I didn't like P&P, but I liked Northanger Abbey and after I finish Emma, I want to read more Austen :)

James | 5 comments Emma is probably my favourite book of all time and I thought the most recent film adaptation was absolutely fabulous - I’m aiming to reread it for the umpteenth time during this isolation period!

I’m going to start reading Emma at some point this week. I find Jane Austen such a comforting writer. When I finish watching it I’ll watch the newest adaptation. I’m so excited!!!
