Just wanted to let all teams know I am changing the rules a little bit. The original rules stated that you must post books on the review thread in alphabetical order. This is no longer the case. You can post books out of order. HOWEVER, you must post all 26 letters before moving on to the next set of alphabet letters.

For example, if someone has already posted an “A” book, another “A” book cannot be posted until all other 25 letters have been posted.

I’m sorry if this confuses anyone but I have started a new job that will prevent me from getting on GR as much as I used to. This should help me out and make things much easier when I’m doing scores.

As a mod, who knows a tad bit (lol), I recommend not claiming letters for books you are currently reading. Everyone should add their books to the “banked tab” and move them to an open spot when they’re finished reading. This will prevent teams from having to wait on someone to finish a book before moving to the next set of letters.

I have these books that I will be starting, since I never got to them last month:



I need some more coffee after this meeting I'm in, then I can let you know what letters they work for but I'm honestly okay with just putting everything on the banked tab until I finish them. Then I can just claim letters once I've reviewed them.

Sounds good, this is my first challenge. I can do the same and we can fit in letters later with everyone :)

Here are the books that I will be starting over the next few days. I guess that I will add them to the banked tab until I finish them. A couple of them I am listening to on audio with my kids so I won't complete them as quickly as the others.

I have finished just have to write a review and almost done with . Later today or tomorrow because of this damn migraine I’ll add my books to the banked tab for the month, at least the BRs since those I’ll definitely be reading 🤓

Can we please remember to use the spreadsheet or at least check it before posting books in the review? It is just frustrating when you go to post your book you put in the spreadsheet to find that someone else has already posted a book for that slot. I like to organize my reading around what is left

To avoid this how about we continue to use the banked tab and not claim letters until we finish a book and are ready to post, otherwise it makes it impossible for everyone to participate if we’re waiting until the next round for letters.

Oh, yes. I mentioned that I would be using the banked tab until I finish/review a book that fits an open letter. Don't know if anyone else said they would do the same. So definitely agree with this as well.

I am a bit confused how to go about doing the posts. I went ahead and put my book in the banked tab, but I noticed a lot of books have tons of letters that can be used. I also have a lot of letters. One letter is F, but I see that others can use an F also. Do I just leave my book on the banked tab and the captain or whoever will decided when to place them? I have my review done as well. Do I go ahead and take the E or F, for example, if I am done? It appears others are also done since the books are on the banked tab.

For me, personally, the books added to the banked tab are CR until I finish the book and write the review and will stay there due to it not fitting any of the open letters. Which is when I will add the review thinks and such.

If you read and reviewed a book that fits any of the open letters, then by all means, take that letter on the spreadsheet and post for it on the review thread.

I have been adding my currently reading books to the banked tab and then switching them over to the ABC tab once I post my review. Then I delete them from the banked books tab.

Oh yes, same to that if they fit for an open letter.

okay I will start putting them in the banked tab from now on, didn't realise that's what people were doing when there was a finished/CR tab in the chart. I assumed the banked tab was for books that couldn't be used at this time

But if you ever need to find a buddy request, there's a section on the Challenge Corner home page that says Let's Buddy and all the threads are under there.

Also I finished my first book and will be uploading the review shortly.
