Heya I'm looking for a reading partner to read with and discuss once finished. We could start with any book!!!

How many chapters in a day?

there's 36 chapters in total and about 10-15 pages in each

We could aim for 7-10 chapters a day or more... I'm a pretty fats reader,so it's up to you...

Yes I downloaded the book. I’ll start the book here in a few and post! I like to post a couple times during the book and cover the spoilers

End of chapter 2 - (view spoiler)[Well, they got me. I definitely thought the girl Jamie made eye contact with in Target would be Maya. But it’s not and now I have no idea who it could be. And is Sara a good friend? She seems to be distant and maybe a little self-centered. (hide spoiler)]

End of chapter 3 - (view spoiler)[ok so it totally is Maya but her chapter made it seem like she didn’t see the tangelo spill so that threw me off... (hide spoiler)]

Oh no I use legal sites to download ebooks like Libby which is connected to my library card. Sorry I guess I could see how that night be misinterpreted. Normally I go to the library but all of ours are closed. I’m a physical book person. I like to curl up with a physical book in my hand so I’m missing that right now

Are either of you Jewish or Muslim? Wondering if you are able to relate to the characters like some of the Jewish traditions Jamie talks about. I am not but I just finished chapter 6 and it broke my heart that Maya ran into racism at 17. Likely not the first time either. I can relate to that on some level as a black woman growing up in a mostly white town. It’s sad the number of people who take our their prejudices on innocent children.

Yeah @Dessa Rae I was a brown American-Indian in America,so racism isn't any new to me.... It's sad that people can't grow past it even in this age

My best friend is Muslim,so I practically know everything about the religion and their beliefs...I know a fair share about Jewish culture too

My fault, I totally misunderstood. Also, you can't blame me. I did even not understand how to do buddy reads on this discussion page.

I can relate to Maya on a lot of levels relating to Sara. I totally do not want them to separate. I wish that their relationship continues and does not grow strained. Are you sure? In the "Currently Reading" folder, you would see that there is a folder for :"The Hand on the Wall" and as I was not interested in spoilers, so I left early that discussion. All they were talking about in it was the ending. Not Book 1 or Book 2 or even any first impressions or anything, all they were talking about were "stuffed with spoilers" endings.

It is highly probable that they would continue talking about spoilers soon in the specified folder too. Thus we should probably reconsider switching.

You are however, correct about the purity of this folder. And thus I would recommend this.

Also, they edited the question in "The Hand on the Wall", but if I remember correctly, it was something like this: Talk only in spoiler phrases about the ending. Do not even dare to talk about the first impressions. Anyone who talks about the beginning would hunted down in real life. HAHA." Those sinister laughs are not mine btw.

We could always consider discussion with them individually.

But it would probably not be a buddy read there.

And No, I am not angry at them. Even though I actually waited for so many days so that I could follow the discussion and read with them. But OK, I do not mind.
