Statistical "Which Character" Personality Quiz

I've seen everyone do this on Twitter lately, so I finally decided to take a look. It's all explained in the link, but basically it's a "which character" type test based on statistics, not just some random weirdo's ideas.

I missed all that other info before I closed out. I got Chandler Bing from friends, which is funny because I’ve actually thought that before.

I also didn't notice the other stuff until later, but I still had it open so I was able to look at everything.

I've been looking at the lists for all the different universes. It's kind of interesting that the majority of my favorite characters in each are the ones I'm "most like". There are a few exceptions, but I didn't really expect to be "like" anyone as badass as Olenna Tyrell, so it's not really a surprise. But, I guess it's safe to say that I (want to) identify with the same traits people see in the characters I enjoy watching?

Oh, I didn't see those other options, either.

I got Brandon Stark - but since I stopped watching GoT somewhere in the second season I have no idea how his character turned out in the end and what I'm like :D

Well, at least I got a character I actually know. It thinks I’m a 92% match for Hermione Granger. Second place was Samantha Carter from Stargate SG-1 (91% match) which I could happily live with, as long as it’s from after Season 1.

I don’t know any of the other characters near the very top or bottom of my list, but here are the top 5 and bottom 5 for people who might actually know what this means. Now you know more about me than I do. ;) I see a couple names on these lists in common with Anna's.

Ha, and the funny thing is, I’m really not much of a science buff outside of computer science. But I do probably have the personality for a science-based career (particularly the analytical aspect) if I had the head knowledge to go with it.

I got Frodo as my top result for LOTR, but only at 59%. Post-Mordor Frodo fits me pretty well I guess.

Julian Bashir for me

Gandalf was my highest LOTR match at 77%, despite being only the 67th closest match. It seems like my closest matches are on the high side, percentage-wise. It’s possible that I’m fictional myself!

My favorite fictional representation of character selection was in middle-grade novel Interstellar Pig. Has anyone here read it? The part I liked is:

(view spoiler)[ The next door neighbors have a board game where you are supposed to randomly select an alien race from a deck of cards to be for the game, each with their own special powers, etc. But every time they play the neighbors "randomly" select the same characters -- turns out they really are those aliens and that the board game is a representation of a real interstellar scavenger hunt which has ended up on earth as they desperately seek their goal! Blew my mind when I read it at 9 years old or whatever. (hide spoiler)]

Out of the entire fandoms list I ended up with a top match of Peggy Olson which kind of irks me because I only really finished MadMen in a hate watch situation. But if I had to have a character from there Peggy is a good one.

I did like when I went by individual fandoms that my top Parks N Rec match was April Ludgate so that was fun. When I did LOST I was happy that my number 2 and 3 were my favorite characters of Ben Linus and Juliet Burke.

My highest is Willow Rosenberg from Buffy, at 77%. I think I can get behind that - even the losing my shit and going evil part.

Dr. Ian Malcolm is, uh, 75%... Sherlock Holmes is 73%, which I don't see at all.

Hermione is lower than I'd expected, at only 63%. But I'm 69% with my 2 other faves - Luna and Tonks.

Also at 69% is Fox Mulder, and I did have a crush on him in the day...

April Ludgate at 68%, along with Doctor Strange and Loki.

Remus, Sirius and Rita Skeeter all at 59%, which I find interesting since I'd consider then pretty different from each other.

I'm selectively listing people cause there's a lot of names I don't know.

I just saw the universe choice. In Big Bang theory the closest I got is someone not at all like me, so I am not sure how accurate this all is. This is because I got 73 percent for Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice and then 72 percent for Sheldon in Big Bang--I just don't see those two as a lot alike, do you?

PS--I don't know who most of these characters are.

ETA I just looked up the details, I am not kinky or humourless or demonic or some of the other things -- the problem with 81 percent is that 19 percent can make a big difference :)J

I did see the movie Mean Girls once with my kids, but don't remember who is who. I know who Gandalf is, but can't remember diddly squat about Dumbledore since I didn't like Harrry Potter (I know, there's always at least one of us in a crowd, isn't there?) much and gave up after a couple of books. Oh, and I did watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer sometimes way back when my eldest was tiny (so in the 1990s) but it's book so long that I don't remember who Willow is.

But of course ;). I never take these at face value, especially when they are likening me to a character in a movie/show/book because then the questions are slanted, But it was interesting that they included so many things. I didn't want anyone assuming I was a few of those qualities ;)

That was really interesting. I checked my "best match" in the different fandoms using the drop-down at the top, but I missed the detailed list at the bottom before I closed it so I took it again. I got almost the exact same results, so either I'm very consistent in my slider-y movements or the test really is that accurate (or both)!

Apart from Dr Bashir, my top 5 matches were all in fandoms I don't know:
