8 Week Dash For the Win!

Challenge Dates:
Signups open until April 11, 2020 at 9 PM US EDT.
Remaining Teams Assigned after signups close on April 11, 2020.
First Task Assigned April 14, 2020 at 6 PM US EDT.
Challenge Ends on June 9, 2020 at Midnight US EDT, tasks will not be accepted after this time.

Each team will work together to complete tasks. Once complete, you will be given another task to complete. After the first task, teams will be on different paths with tasks randomly assigned. The same tasks may be assigned to different teams at different times, but no task will be used more than once by the same team. Each team works at their own pace and the team that completes the most tasks at the end of 8 weeks will be the winner!

After the first task is given to everyone, when a team finishes their task they will need to report their completion in the Tracking/Q&A thread. I will confirm the completion and assign their next task. New tasks will not be assigned more frequently than every other day. I will attempt to respond quickly to confirm completion and assign new tasks, but please allow up to 24 hours. If I am unavailable, another mod will assign the task.

Each teammate will need to participate in each task, but may take a pass for one task during the course of the challenge. For some tasks, no passes will be allowed. Completions posts will need to be made when finishing each book for a task, similar to the PtP and Bachelor Challenges. A player will be removed if they make no comment for 5 days after a new task is assigned or 3 days after the rest of the team completes the task (whichever is later), despite attempts to make contact.

There is a 150 page minimum for books, rereads and audios ok. Books may only be used once per player during the challenge. Players may read the same book for a task unless otherwise specified. Books do not have to be romance, but must be fiction.

**For this challenge, use the GR Kindle first edition page count if available. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis**

I think most of you know each other, at least a little, but feel free to introduce yourself again. Please give any relevant information, especially time zone as that helps know when it is best to communicate. 😊

Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.

PS - If you want to be known as anything other than Team 11, you are free to come up with a team name. 😉

So I'm Trio and I live in New York, which is Eastern time zone. I've got three kids: 24, 23 and 18 - all of whom are living with me right now hahaha, so I'm pretty busy. I just told them last week that I'm going to need a good hour every afternoon to get caught up on my reading.

I write for an LGBTQ blog called Kimmers Erotic Book Banter. It doesn't take up too much of my time and hopefully my books will work for this challenge too (I love when that works out).

So I live in Northern California, up close to the Oregon border, on the coast. I'm Pacific Time too.

Can't wait to get started! This sounds like such a fun challenge, I can't wait to see what the different tasks will be.

I don't know who read the rules but here is a reminder so we all know what to expect.

Each team works at their own pace and the team that completes the most tasks at the end of 8 weeks will be the winner!
Since we have to work as a team, it is very important that everyone checks our team thread every day so that we can agree on the next task and get to reading.

So let's all list 5 of our favorite authors and see if we can come up with one so this task doesn't delay us if we happen to get this one. Try to list more mainstream authors so there is a greater chance we have of coming to an agreement. With libraries closed, it's becoming harder and harder to get my hands on books so I have to read what's available to me from Kindle or in my own house. I'm sure others are in the same situation.

I bought the audio of Delivering Dante this morning. It's the only book in that series I haven't listened to yet, and it's been a long time since I have read or listened to LL so I'm good whichever way we decide to go... I'm ready 😁.

My mistake. She said YA so I assumed they were young adult as I'm not a big MM reader.

So yes if you think she will go along with Lucy Lennox, go ahead and read.

i have looked at lucy lennox i was going to read love in touch but i cant read it online so i will choose a book by her that i can read online.
