This thread is for any authors who need beta readers to read their book, in order to give them feedback on it before the book is published.

Good luck to our authors, and happy reading to everyone!

Chris Brookes | 8 comments Thanks Jean for initiating this thread.

I am a UK author shortly to publish the 4th book in my Entanglement Mystery/Thriller series and would like to engage with a few beta readers ahead of publication.

As with the other novels in the series, the storyline is set against the backdrop of WW1 and mixes a mysterious tale with a premise of triumph over adversity.

So, if the idea of a free read in return for your honest feedback and/or observations of any inconsistencies then please drop me a message and I'll get a digital copy over to you.

Many thanks
Chris

I'd be happy to be a beta reader. I'm doing this for a friend who is writing a non-fiction book.

Eniola Fase (ennyfair) | 4 comments Hello,

I just published my book last two months. I titled it Bruises. Bruises is a mystery and thriller book. All about crime, murder, investigation, suspence, e.t.c. Bruises might not be the best book you will ever read but I can assure you that it will be on your top list.
Bruises is available on Kobo.

Thank you

Hi Eniola,

I wish you luck with this :) However I have deleted all your duplicated posts in other threads, as they break rule 5. Please check our group rules.

5. If you are an author as well as a reader, you may do book promotions, but only in the promotions folder. You may also advertise your blog in this folder. However, please also join in with our reading activities, and be aware that if you promote your book anywhere other than author promotions thread, then the post will be deleted.

Miles Hudson | 5 comments Hi Everyone, I'm an indie author in the north of England and I'm looking to publish my new detective mystery, The Kidney Killer, in October.

I'm going to come back later on the hunt for beta readers but for now, I'm wondering if any of you would care to offer some feedback on the blurb I'm thinking of putting on the book. Whatever you think, good or bad, please be honest. Here we go...

The Kidney Killer
Blurb

A kidnap, a theft, and a murderous moon-worshipping cult: Detective Sergeant Milburn has his work cut out to solve several cases that all appear at once.

Milburn’s job is trickier as both victims are friends with his girlfriend. He desperately needs to solve the cases but has to keep his personal involvement secret. With the clock ticking down on the fate of the second missing woman, the pressure ramps up.

Penfold, the detective’s cerebral surfer friend, is called on to help investigate. His puzzle-solving genius helps sift real clues from red herrings. The struggle for leads is constant, until it becomes clear that Penfold and Milburn are, in fact, central to all the crimes.

This is the second Penfold mystery story, set in Durham City in the north of England.

Joan (xstitchfan) | 84 comments The rest of the blurb sound interesting and my usual type of reading, but if I read “ murderous moon-worshipping cult” in the first line, I would normally stop reading the book blurb right there. I try to avoid heavy occult type subject matter in my mystery books because I don’t enjoy reading about serious occult subjects. You might want to leave that out of the description. The rest of your English mystery sounds very good! I wish you the best of luck with your new book!

Abhishek Sinha | 2 comments Dear fellow book enthusiasts, I'm thrilled to share that my debut crime thriller, "By Hook or By Crook," is now available and been getting great reviews! It's a gripping tale of suspense, crime, and unexpected twists that I poured my heart into. If you love getting lost in the world of thrilling mysteries, I'd be honored if you could check it out. Your feedback means the world to me, and I'm eager to hear what you think. Find it here: https://mybook.to/byhookorbycrook
Happy reading!

H (readerwritergamerbooklover) Hi, I hope this is alright as I'm not actually a published author. I do however aim to be one day, so I've been dabbling in short stories for the first time in my life. I was looking for beta readers for one I just finished - it's only 4.4k words, so it should only take about 20 minutes to read through.

Please let me know if you are interested. General thoughts are perfectly fine, and it'd be appreciated. Thanks!
