Harper Nicole (harpernicole) So, I was thinking, for my writers, we could have a poem challenge. Writing poems has been a huge help to me in my creative growth. It helps build in-depth and critical thinking, causing you to see your object in a new light. This helps with description, so I've loved writing poems. It helps me get in the mood of writing descriptively.
So, I would like to start a challenge where you write a short (like 4-5 lines) poem every day. I'll post each morning what the poems should be about. I don't want it to be a competition, but a challenge to help you in your writing. We'll start tomorrow. I'll say what your poem should be about, and then you'll write 4-5 lines of poetry to post on here. Feel free to talk about them! I want this to be helpful, AND fun!! Write away!!

Macy (maggieviolet) | 21 comments Here's my poem 😬
I want to explore places and people, oh, so many!
I'm always adding to my list.
Adding and multiplying, I've quite got the gist.
Please, don't give me a new book!
I've got a long list and plenty
Waiting for me in the nook.

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) Here's mine!

It takes me all night and all day just to read,
The names of the books piled in front of me.
It ever so daunts, but somehow still flaunts,
To still draw me in 'till I read without end.
I can't find the bottom no end will I see.
'Till the end of my line, sitting reading, I'll be.

This is so fun!!

The dust collects upon the pages,
All these books to read, might take ages.
I keep on reading and surprise myself,
As I add more books to my "read" shelf.
Goodreads helps me to keep track,
I've read all the books, time to put them back.

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) The clothes in my closet, though simple they be,
Can shape me and tell others all about me.
Style of shoes. The color of the sweater,
May be what tells others if I'm feeling better.
They portray my mood, my sadness, my joy.
They might even tell you what I'm longing for.
So pay close attention, no questions need asked.
My clothes answer better. They know of my past.
