Jess nodded, "what did your parents do?"

"I honestly can't remember nor want to." He said looking around.

"If you're going to try and kill someone, for gods sake atleast succeed. It's not that hard." Reese rolled her eyes almost cheerfully. "Just get in close when they don't expect it, and bam! I never had any troubles." she shrugged. Those friends of hers were bad influences. It was their fault she'd even gotten in hose situations, but she was alive so no harm done.

Jess looked between the two, not sure if her father would approve of her being around these types of people. Then again, everyone down here was dangerous, so maybe dangerous allies were a good choice, "I see."

"I never said I didn't succeed." He said looking at Reese.

Reese smirked, though not unkindly. "You said you tried to stab them in the throat. Key word tried." she pointed out. She leaned against a tree and dug into her pocket, pulling out a knife with a blade about as long as her hand once it was unfolded. After reaching into her pocket for the next piece, she deftly used the knife to start to unscrew one of the screws keeping a watch together.

"Tried does not mean failed dear." He said with a smiled as he looked up at the sky.

((Night))

"If you had succeeded you would not have said that you 'tries to stab' someone. You would say that you 'stabbed' someone." Reese sighed.

"If I failed to stab someone I would of said tried and failed." He reply.

Jess watched them, starting to get bored, "you two almost done?"

"I'd think so." He said.

She nodded, "alright," she joined the back of the mob, still having not told anyone what she did. It wasn't like she killed someone or anything, all she did was steal a bunch of medicine.

He sighed and stepped away from the crowd.

Jess watched him from the corner of her eye, wondering what he was doing. She drifted over to him, "so... Your parents are gone too?"

"Yes they are." He replied nodding. "I take it yours are as well."

She nodded, "my mother died giving birth to me, and my father died of Illness."

He nodded and sighed.

Jess looked his face over before leaning against a tree and watching their people.

She jumped and turned around to find a strange girl, "umm... Do I know you!?"

"Oh really!?" She hissed, "and who am I?"

She arched her brow, "sounds interesting."

"Oh calm down. If they're not shared evenly, I can't have you running around and stealing everyone's things. They won't be pleased. If things aren't even, you can have mine." Reese sighed, demonstrating both her ability to pop up anywhere and her secret kindness. Underneath it all, she wasn't a bad person at all.

Jess glared at Reese, not liking how she just popped into the conversation, "mhmm.."

Jess nodded, "I will, thanks."

"Well, I'm here. So it's not very private anymore. So your argument is invalid." Reese shrugged. She pulled the screw from the watch and stuck it in her pocket before starting on the next one.

Jess watched them curiously, "shouldn't you be worrying about food, Reese? Or finding us a safe place to sleep?" She questioned.

"Everyone's way too excited about everything to listen to me. As long as they don't go to far away, I am happy to let them just wander. Especially since my presence right here seems to annoy you, which is quite amusing to me." Reese grinned.

Jess sighed, irritated, "whatever," she mumbled and started walking, going to find food.

Akane glanced up at the girl and sighed before turning to walk off.

"Great." He muttered to himself as he walked around.

He looked up at the girl staying silent.

He chuckled softly and continued to look at her.

"No fighting!" Reese called almost cheerfully, putting another screw in her pocket with the first one and starting to peel apart the watch.

"Why are you so aggressive?" He asked calmly as he watched her.

"That's all I needed to hear than." He said with a small smile.

"And where did you get that assumption dear?" He asked.

"Was it your parents?" He asked looking at her.

"Your parents or your family, the ones you stole for the ones you sacrificed for." He replied looking down.

"Make sure to keep your sex safe!" Reese chirped brightly, "No pregnancies or STDs!"

He glanced at Reese looking confused for a moment. "I was right than." He muttered.

"Not at all." He replied.

"Nothing is my point." He replied leaning against a tree.

He chuckled softly. "No love I'm probably the farthest thing from it."

"What were you right about exactly?" He asked.

Jess watched them, feeling a mix of amusement and boredom. This guy really liked to get on girls' nerves, didn't he? "Hey, lover boy," she called, "your not doing a good job of making friends."

"Nor am I trying to Jess." He said looking at her. "Besides now is not the time too."

Jess smiled at him, "isn't it? People are going to make alliances with one another. Having at least one friend is probably in your best interest."
