Jess frowned at the thought of pain, "I can handle it myself," she assured him and tried standing, "we should as least go back for my cloths, so people don't get the wrong idea."

"At least let me try to get a bandage on it, so it doesn't get exposed to the elements more than it needs to be." He said helping her stand up.

Jess nodded, "do we have anything to clean it?" She asked. She had been learning to be a nurse on the arch, do she knew a bit about tending to wounds.

"For now no, it's fresh so it'll be clean and it' singly been open for a few minutes so nothing has started festering." He said looking around the area for possible leaves that could work as bandages.

Jess leaned against the tree and looked at his shirt, "rip the sleeve off your shirt," she ordered, "it would make a better bandage then anything else out here."

"Sadly less sanitary but it'll have to do." He agreed and ripped off his sleeve and started wrapping it around the bite.

She whimpered when he tied it, and held onto the tree, "careful."

"It'll hold for a while till we can get a better bandage." He said and helped her standing again he looked down chuckled for a second.

Jess frowned, "what's so funny?"

Thinking about what you said earlier about people getting the wrong idea that's very funny at least me."

She scrunched her nose, "and how is that funny!?"

"Because love. I'm gay." He explained.

Jess blushed, feeling stupid, "oh."

"But the others don't know that so I understand why you'd want to go back." He said.

She nodded, watching him for a moment, "like... Full on gay? Or bi?"

"Full on gay." He replied looking at her.

Jess held in a pout. Of course, the first guy to talk to her just had to be gay, "cool."

"I'm sorry for the inconvenience but I'm pretty sure not many of the other men are gay." He said.

She glared at him, "why would I care who's gay or not!?"

"Because you were a little annoyed just earlier when you found out I was gay." He said looking at her.

Jess shrugged, "for my own reasons," she hugged herself, trying to keep warm, "I have nothing against gays."

"What are those reason?" He asked as he pulled her close to him trying to keep her warm.

She nuzzled him, closing her eyes, "I'd rather not say," she mumbled.

"Alright I won't press." He said.

Jess nodded and sighed, "we should get my cloths and get back."

"Agreed." He said nodding. "Do you want me to go and you stay here, or do you want to come with me?"

She thought, "I'll come with you," she decided quickly.

"Alright." He said picking her up an started to walk back to the lake.

Jess blushed and held onto him as he carried her. It wasn't fair, why did he have to be gay?

He looked down at her. "How are you feeling?" He asked.

She looked at him, her cheeks still a bit pink, "calming down a bit. I'm starting to feel the pain in my leg, though."

"There should some type of natural painkiller or anesthetic around here somewhere but it'll have to wait till later." He said.

Jessica nodded, "we can look after I get my cloths," she whispered.

He nodded and looked down at her again with worry.

"What?" She asked, seeing the worry on his face.

"Nothing I'm just thinking back to something that happened on the Arc." He said

"And what was that?" She questioned.

"Nothing that you'd want to hear." He said.

Jess pouted, "you can't bring it up the not explain. I want to hear."

"Now that's being hypocritical." He said.

"What is that suppose to mean!?" She demands.

"Well I asked your reasons for being annoyed with my being gay you said you'd rather not say, and I decided not to press." He said. "Now the same thing is happening and you are doing exactly what you didn't want me to do."

She frowned, "your irritating." Jess looked his face over.

"I don't mean to be sadly that is my nature." He said sighing.

She rested her head on his shoulder, "it's okay."

Jai walked out of the ship and looked around for the fist time today. He bumped his head when they all landed and went unconscious for most of the first day, but when he woke up he went straight outside.

Once outside he sat down against once of the parts of the drop ship, he looked around at all of the people as he collected his thoughts and wondered what he should do next. He never like big crowds of people and this was definitely a big crowd of people, he wondered if he should just leave and go it alone. After a few minutes he decided against it or at least for now.

Jai looked up from his wristband that he was examining when he saw someone, a girl, enter the area from the woods. he raised an eyebrow, figuring that meant people where searching for food or for whatever they could find out there, that also put the thought in his head of wondering how long long they've actually been here.

he shook his head to put the thought out of it and stood up, he decided he would go look for a weapon and go exploring and if he couldn't find one he would make one.

Having decided it was probably best to get people to know her, Reese scanned the crowd, selecting one to get to know. It happened to be Jai she headed towards and lightly tapped on the shoulder. "Hey." she said simply, smiling a fraction. She nodded to the basket she held, from which delicious smells were wafting from. "I'm bored and lonely and I have food."

Impatiently, she blew loose strands of her dark hair out of her face. "I mean, you don't have to. But I'm offering food in trade for simple company for a while." She shrugged, her smile widening a bit.

Jai was about to say something to Reese but was interrupted when they both were shoved away.
