The Gargoyle question

When I was in High School ( 1989-1991) I remember reading a book trilogy. Book title unknown. It was about a woman who was taken captive and sent to live in a castle protected by gargoyles. She befriends them and finds out there is a curse on them. To free them she has to give each a stone heart from a peach grown on the grounds protected by a spell. I dont remember the titles, but i do remember that my library only had the first two books and i had to get the last one from my college library. I would love to re read this series. Can anyone help me?
