Michelle Johnson (michellecurates) | 85 comments I enjoyed reading what everyone is willing to share about their childhood favorites.

I went to an amazing school for 6th grade with an amazing teacher. She read us The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe every afternoon.

When my kids were much younger we read the whole series together.

Now I have a new bath of younguns who have only watched the movies so we started again. It was a great hit with everyone...even my three year old.

Kirsten (kmcripn) I read Over Sea, Under Stone by Susan Cooper. I loved this book when I was in middle school and, after re-reading it, I still do!

Melody | 208 comments This category was a bit of a challenge for me, but I ended up reading The Happy Prince & Other Stories by Oscar Wilde, which I first read when I was 11 or 12. Reading them again now, quite a few of them come off as a bit preachy and lacking nuance (especially "The Remarkable Rocket" and "The Devoted Friend"), but the rest of the stories were still very beautiful. My favorite when I was younger was "The Happy Prince", but I found I liked "The Nightengale and the Rose" and "The Young King" at this point in my life.
