I read many more books on paper or digitally than I listen to. But there are some I really prefer to hear. One is the Bloody Jack series of young adult historical fiction books. The reading adds a lot to the fun of these books.

for January:
Born in Death
Angels' Blood
then who knows what else

I'm not a fan of this book so take this with a grain of salt, but I would call this narration below average. The narrator can’t do different voices so when more than one person is talking, it’s very difficult to know who’s speaking. At least the book is pretty much all internal monologues with relatively few conversations so you may be able to follow what was going on, like it happened with me.

Tien can come in here and confirm but I don't think it's required. As long as you find the book in there, you can read it in any format.

Actual audiobooks -
Room
East of Eden
The Luminaries
Echo Burning

That is an AWESOME audiobook. I've listened to it twice.

Sorry, yes, I mean, no, it's NOT compulsory especially if you don't have easy access, Jane. It'd be a good experience for those who's never tried audiobooks though. However, there are some bad ones out there so hopefully whoever is "listening" pick some good ones!

Thanks for the help!
I'll start with The Weed That Strings the Hangman's Bag, since that came up first in my Moving Mountains 2015, and it seems like it could be a good one for an audiobook. But audiobooks end up taking me a lot longer to finish that books I read on paper or digitally, so I'm not choosing any others till I see how long that takes.

I hope you like this - I tried towards the end of the year, but it just wasn't working for me

Possibly American Gods, Cloud Atlas, Insurgent and Allegiant.
If I am travelling ok with current library loans and the above don't turn up, The Hunger Games, The Handmaid's Tale and The Kite Runner.

I loved it! Major twist I didn't see coming!
OK, I am biting the bullet. One of my very LOST books (2013) is The Passage. I decided to tackle it as an audiobook. Since it is a 700+ page book and 12 discs as an audiobook, I figure that the 31 days of this month will help me get through most of it.

Also on my "Lost" list. Looking forward to listening to this!

Thanks, Lyndi, for our first shelf of 2015: (audiobook
Have you tried listening to audiobooks before? If not, this may be a good chance to give it a go.
