I'm reading The Guest List right now and, considering how slow I've been reading it, I'll probably still have 100 pages to go tomorrow.
It fits quite a few categories on here...
- thriller
- mystery
- suspense
- psychological thriller
- crime
- to-buy
- book-of-the-month
I'll probably use it for book-of-the-month if no one else gets to it first... although I have PLENTY of BOTM books to read lol

This was an easy mystery to listen to today.
Yay, congrats for the first book crossed off on this Read-A-Thon, Jillian!
I accidentally finished The Guest List last night... oops. So I'll be starting fresh for this Read-A-Thon!

Agreed, Jillian.. agreed.
Robin, I thought the same thing haha. Or that she woke up early and finished the last 100 pages of the book.
Oh well! More books for the group to read!

This is a "cozy" mystery. It is a fun series and an easy read. Needed something a bit easy after some heavier books. This is the second of the series and as good as the first.

This is the third or fifth, depending on how they're counted, in the Mordecai Tremaine series. It's a classic mid-20th century whodunnit series, reminiscent of Agatha Christie though not at her caliber of plotting, featuring benevolent, sentimental retired tobacconist turned amateur detective Mordecai Tremaine. In this particular story, though the mystery is a little convoluted (they all are, to be honest), I enjoyed the non-linear revelation of the personalities and relationship dynamics that influenced the murder and its investigation.
Kellie, I put your book under "mystery" since there weren't many tags for it. Roxana, I went with detective for yours!
I've just finished the archetypal "Unreliable Narrator" book - The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, by Agatha Christie. :-)
So if you want to add it there, feel free!
Or failing that, it could probably fit suspense.

Finished The Sun Down Motel
This could work for thriller, suspense or horror but I would put this under the horror category if still available.
St. James is fast becoming one of my favorite authors! She writes amazing atmospheric mystery ghost stories that you just can't put down! Great character development, just a touch of romance and such haunting ghosts with stories and histories that get me every time!

Recorded up to here!
ZeeJane, she is one of my favorite authors as well! I read Sun Down back in January when it first came out and was just blown away. I don't generally like ghost stories, but hers is realistic enough that I don't mind.

Sherri, if you look at the genres on the main page, under that list, there is a link that says "See more shelves". If you click on that, you can see all of the tags for that book!

It is a nonfiction book about a complex litigation involving large corporations leading toxic chemicals in a town's water supply and sickening the residents.

This is a good book. I read it because everyone was recommending it with good reason.

Pretty good thriller, but I guessed the killer pretty quickly.

I loved this book, and I can’t believe I hadn’t got round to reading it before now.

I'm glad to hear you loved this! It's been on my TBR for awhile, and this is the year I'm planning to actually read it.
Same, Traci! I got it from Book of the Month, actually, but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. My next prompt for ATY is genre or subgenre starting with a letter in your name, so I made read this one for Literary Fiction.

We will have five genres of books, and shelf tags that go along with each genre (plus a few freebies, for those of us finishing up monthly challenges). Our goal, as a group, is to cross off as many of these shelf tags as possible by the end of the day next Sunday (April 26th).
For this thread, we have MYSTERIES AND THRILLERS.

No, you do not have to read a book in each genre for it to count! It only has to have the tag on the book. (For example, you can read any book tagged 2017 to complete that tag... it doesn't have to be a mystery or thriller.)
If you need help finding books, Goodreads has an easy way to see the most popular books on each shelf. Just head to www.goodreads.com/shelf and search for the shelf you're looking for.
