[Spoilers ahead] The guy knows he's going to be a main suspect, he tries to escape, but gets caught and is sentenced to death. The proof he didn't do it is his own shit (literally) brought to court the very last moment. A real shooter was his friend and his name may be Jesus. The location is USA somewhere near mexican border. I think there were cactuses on the cover. The events were tragic but it was also kind of funny. Read it in English in 2008.
