The reasons for weirdness aren't always evident from the titles alone (although the exceptions should be obvious), and there's one which you'll never find on discogs; the Merzbow at #100 is actually a written-off Mercedes previously the property of his dutch label boss, with a copy of Merzbow's album "Noisembryo" hardwired into the ignition, so it plays when the car is turned on. "Psyche me out!" Psychedelic songs. Don ya hippy locks, flares, jesus beards & chuck in a tab of acid or two....and let's float away on some groovy 'shroom loaded magical mystery tour! Any kind of psychedelic music; from the hippy dippy folk, acid rock, psyche rock, thu to stoner, produced from the 1960s to the present day. Brownie points if you can pick a less well known track.

From probably the first psych album out of Turkey, 1974's Elektronik Türküler (Electronic Ballads) here's Erkin Koray, looking suitably stoned in this clip; so much so that his lip-synched vocals are completely out in the last verse!

After Sera69, recorded in Italy in 1971 but not released until 1972 after Mark Fry had left the country this has since become a cult psych/folk classic. A fat that Mark Fry only became aware of by accident three decades later.

Now then..i was going to go with Psychotic Reactions by Count Five...but then i realised it was their only hit, which reached No. 5 in the charts at the time.

So i'm plumping for a super rarity from 1971. This English band did two split albums with another band Lightyears Away, in the early 1970s. Original LPs can't be had for less than stupid money now. Even the 1995 compilation CD No Red Rowan, sell for daft sums these days. Anyhoo..see how you lot get on with this romping number. Hard Acid Psych Blues, for those that like it:

Hello folks. Just about managed to get me knackered laptop working again. The load up software or the hardware has had an intermittant fault for some time..but was working okay for the last coupla months, til now. I'm looking for a cheap replacement to do for now, but on the off chance that it's should stop again before Sunday..could some kind soul take over for the time being, until i'm sorted again...thank you. Right..i'm still here, just. Interesting mix there. As noted, a couple of songs were a little subtle on the psychydelia. Psychedelic music is quite varying..from the floaty hippy dippy flowery folk, thru to hard acid stoner stuff. I generally prefer the latter meself, but happy to listen to pretty much any kind, even the surreal experimental stuff!

There's only one album available at a decent price, the excellent but crappily-titled And Now For The Whatchamacallit? Have you found the High Visceral album at a decent price and if so where please?

Edit - did you buy the download of HV (only £6 at zon)?

Went to see them last year at the compact and bijou back room/bar area of the Leadmill, got myself a spot down the front and centre ….. and then the wildest mass-moshing I've seen in years so, discretion being the better part of valour, I retreated to the side and was still subject to the occasional charge of frenzied yoof. Bought a T-Shirt, one of the few I've ever had unsolicited admiring comments from complete strangers on!

I have the entire collection of PPC pressings back catalogue too, including a signed Test Pressing of HV Part Two. I went to see them in Cardiff last May..they were brilliant. Bought the Tee shirt as well! Mine's got the mushrooms on the back! :)

I do have a spare copy of the 2019 repress of HV Pts One & Two double compilation album, if if anybody wants it? Still sealed. Trending at around £70-80 mark currently..yours for £65! :)

And have the Cds of all three albums...i can burn off some copies, if anybody wants those too. PM me.
