Jeffrey Caston Has anyone used Autocrit? I'm interested in anyone's experience with this site. Useful? Easy to use? Would you recommend it?

B.A. A. Mealer | 975 comments According to Carla King it was easy to use and did show a lot of her short comings as a writer. You can get cheaper that may not have as easy an interface, but are just as effective. I'd look at that $30/month as a not go for me.

Great. Thanks B.A. I really liked the editor I used for a novel, but for shorter works it doesn't really make much sense to me.

I'm going to give it a shot with some short stories I have.

Sara Caudell (saracaudell) | 11 comments I write my novel then go to autocrat and use it for a month or two to edit, so it only costs about $60 for each book. I find it worth it.

Mary Neighbour (medianeighbourscom) | 7 comments I've taken advantage of Autocrit's lifetime option; that's how big a fan I am. I'm an editor as well as author, though, and I find it most useful for sizing up a new client's overall strengths and weaknesses, before I begin editing. This would be useful for any writer to do before handing off a manuscript to an editor, as it would save them money if they can improve their work more. I heartily recommend it.
