My most-anticipated fantasy book of 2019 was this: Priory. After much trepidation, (900 pages is a massive investment) I finally delved into it last week. I'm 700 pages in.

It is epic. And no, not just the size. The story is incredible. Shannon has built an entire world in this standalone novel that is breathtaking and full of complex and diverse characters.

Did I mention there are dragons?
