Hello,

There is this book (in Arabic).

Currently, it is bundled up with other editions under (Holy Kural - Thirukkural in Tamil with English Translations). That said, the reviews displayed doesn't belong to that edition in particular.

Please help in sorting this matter out.

We combine books that have the same content, language is irrelevant.

Each member can review the book they read and if you use the Community Reviews - more filters link you can look for reviews of the Arabic edition. At present no one has reviewed the Arabic edition.

This is the way to search for reviews of a specific edition and you can use this on any edition within the database.

However, the book is combined among one of the 45th editions of (Holy Kural - Thirukkural in Tamil with English Translations).

But, that shouldn't be, because the book is neither in Tamil nor in English. The book is not an English translation of Thirukkural. It is a pure Arabic translation.

A suggestion that may help:

Since the author name has been already added in Arabic which is 'ترو فللوفر'. Can we remove, for that edition in particular, the author name put in Latin, meaning 'by Thiruvalluvar'?

That may solve the issue.

I'm new to this. What I'm saying is, if the book should be combined with other editions, in that case the category name should be changed, the category can't be named (Holy Kural - Thirukkural in Tamil with English Translations). Because, apparently non-english translations are combined.

That's not a category name, it's just the name of the most popular edition of the book.

But, this can be confusing, especially for a non-english book being combined as an edition of (English Translations). Isn't there a way somehow to solve this?

Goodreads policy is for all editions of a work -- including translations in various languages -- to be combined. Users looking for a specific edition can either scroll through the editions, or search by the specific edition's ISBN or ASIN.

Searching for ترو فللوفر also appears to work in this case.

So, here is what I discovered: If you go to another book by the translator such as this one:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

And, then on that page, if you look at the section 'books by', you will see a thumbnail photo of the cover of an English version of the book 'Thirukkural', and then if you click on that, it will take you to this page:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9...

While it should take you to this page:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
Because this is the book that belongs to the same translator.

Is there a way to fix this please? Kindly help.
