Explore York | 9 comments There's not many books I can think of, but one that sticks with me & I am not sure why is actually a YA Novel - The Host by Stephanie Meyer. My copy is very tatty, it's been read many times. It's about aliens that use humans as host bodies, the humans are fighting back in secret under ground colonies, it's fascinating & a VERY easy read. What would you read again? - Kelly

Anne Carlill (annec3) | 13 comments I would read again: the trilogy by Thalassa Ali about Mariana who is sent to India to find a husband. She rebels against this and her adventures are a wonderful read. I picked up the 2nd book (I think) in the trilogy in Dringhouses Library and needed to get a secondhand copy of the 1st so I could read them in order. Ironically, the Explore catalogue only has a copy of the 1st book now, 'A singular Hostage', at Bishopthorpe.

Frances | 8 comments I fall back on Tolkein's Lord of the Rings. There is so much in it that I find new things I had forgotten each time I read it. It has been a while so this makes me think I might just reread it soon. For a childrens book I can reread Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge. It is a classic, but beautifully written, great characters and full of magic.

Great choice! I've got a very battered copy somewhere.

I have my original Lord of the Rings from when I was in my teens but had to buy Little White Horse again as an adult and it is a copy that came out under the title Moonacre. The BBC had it on childrens tv under that at the time.
