I've started a LitRPG Forum Masterlist of works in the genre. The point of it is to crowdsource recommendations, basis on votes of our members, so that new people to the genre are able to get the data right away, without having to ask for recommendations.

Each person is only allowed to vote for 100 books, so if you don't see something you like, feel free to add to it. Only add first books in the series

Added a few, but there's (of course) already books #3, and more in series that have made their way in.

I'm keeping an eye on it and have been culling the list.

I must be missing something. I don’t see/have an option to add or upload anything to the list??

At the top of the list, right besides where it says All Votes, there's a tab that says Add Books to the List

@Devan, looks like you can't on the mobile website or the mobile app. I had trouble with that too, but went on my PC and found there.

I voted on some of them and added a new litRPG I didn't see there yet. I do wish goodreads had a more robust list system, like another sort tab so it wasn't just the same few at the top. Anything to engage more people to vote that isn't the first thing they see.

In my experience a large amount of gamelit is Asian webnovels. I added a couple that have English publications. I usually read them on translation sites though.

I agree. I was surprised to see that many of them have already been added into Goodreads. Even most of the top rated ones from RoyalRoad have been added already.

So voting for books is the only way to add them?
This list would be most useful if it was as complete as possible.

One can only vote for 100 books. But the more people that vote, the more “correct” and complex it will be.

I believe you have to add them by voting for them, but then you can remove your vote if you want. That way you don't hit the 100 limit for voting but add the books to the list. I think that maintains the credibility of the votes, but keeps everyone aware of other book options that they might not have been aware of.

Are you sure? It seems like entries without votes are automatically removed. When it happened before I thought perhaps Gaius cleaned up (I added a book with a Japanese title but then removed that vote and added another edition with an English title). But now I removed a vote for another book and it's gone.

I am not sure. I know that I added some books to the list and some of them I did take my vote away. You may be correct that in order to stay on the list that there must be at least one vote.

So, yea... Someone should probably clean up the masterlist there are a bunch of later books in the series on there.
