None of my books fit the mini-challenges, but it will be my own personal mini-challenge. I'll come up with a goal when the RAT begins and I know what I still need to read. I'm hoping to do some review reading before we start.

Judy | 4067 comments I finished Haroun and the Sea of Stories earlier today and this was such a positive surprise! I was very wary going into it cause I don't like fairy tales and I don't like whimsical writing but this was just a fun romp with loads of jokes, references to other stories, and some deeper meanings. If I ever have kids, this is going on the list of books I want to read to them.

Ha! I can understand that. It was very juvenile, which is why I wouldn't have picked it up on is own, and the worldbuilding was super lacking. I ultimately gave it 2 stars. But what can I say, I miss the ocean!
