It was a series of books that started with an invasion, the aliens liked to bury in the ground. The sequels followed humans as they tried to hide and escape from the aliens on different planets and star systems. Humans manage to destroy one ship by launching a large object from a distance and using the kinetic energy built up and crashed into a alien ship.
