R.A. Desilets | 375 comments I didn't have many good reads this year... The second half of the year I picked up more "meh" titles than the first, which is probably why I'm not finished with my 50 book challenge this year. I did read some good sequels, however :)

Anyway, here's the ones that I particularly enjoyed:
Rite of Rejection by Sarah Negovetich Spark (Elemental, #2) by Brigid Kemmerer Unhinged (Splintered, #2) by A.G. Howard Gated (Gated, #1) by Amy Christine Parker Behemoth (Leviathan, #2) by Scott Westerfeld Sinner (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #4) by Maggie Stiefvater Opposition (Lux, #5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout Meridian (Arclight, #2) by Josin L. McQuein Raging Star (Dust Lands, #3) by Moira Young

Adult: The Minus Faction - Episode One Breakout by Rick Wayne

message 11: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Ha! It sounds like it's an adult book, and it's a thriller, so it's a change from her usual stuff.

I still need to read The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame Was it a good read, even as an adult?

message 16: by Casey (new)

Casey Anderson | 637 comments Yeah, I loved it actually. But...I usually like classic style animal books. I loved The Jungle Book as well. It's a very...peaceful happy read. It made me daydream about summer days in youth.
I would say go for it, as long as you don't mind books with humanized animals you should like it. And if you don't like that you probably wouldn't be considering it.

I do like humanized animals to an extent. Never got into the truly in depth stuff like Redwall or the Hunters series. But I think I'll give it a try. That and The Rescuers (The Rescuers, #1) by Margery Sharp have been on my list for awhile now! :D

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments We were supposed to do it back in June, so we might as well wait until November now and do one for the entire year, since we're closer to the end of the year already. Thanks for reminding us though. Good catch!

message 24: by Diane (new)

Diane | 1234 comments This summer did seem to go by fast and furiously didn't it? Yeah at this point waiting till November makes most sense.
