It was your review Ange that made me order a paperback copy as this was not available on kindle. I read it at the beginning of this year. It was lovely! :)

How cool that you both found this book because of my review! And in turn, it was a rave review by @tadiana-night-owl that made me want to read it :)

Oh, good point!! I think of that as a Christmas story but it is pretty much the definitive ghost story!

"The Turn of the Screw by Henry James"
I have tortured myself with two other Henry James novels but I don't think I ever tried this one...I may just finally buckle down and watch the movie.

The Canterville Ghost - a ghost story that is also hilarious
The Ghost of Opalina - breaking news on this one! I absolutely adored this as a child, took it out of the library over and over again. A few years ago it crossed my mind and I thought I'd like to read it again - but it was out of print and could not be had, unless you wanted to buy a used copy for $500+ on ebay.
So anyway, for this challenge just for kicks and gags I looked it up on Amazon and it's in print again! I ordered a copy and it should be here tomorrow. Plus they're opening the parks in NJ again - so, two fun things to look forward to this weekend!
