Help Me Find a Book

Also, for historical fiction, I would recommend Karen Kingsbury’s One Tuesday Morning series! It’s an interesting (fictional) take on 9/11.

Becky, I think I know this series! Is it the Other Way Home series by Sally John?

I enjoyed Kara Swanson’s Neverland fantasies. I really loved
, which is her debut and is Christian scifi.

Lynette Eason and Colleen Coble have series.
This is a genre I'm exploring too so curious to see others ideas.

I really enjoyed the If I Run series by Terri Blackstock.
I also enjoyed the Marcus Ryker series by Joel C. Rosenberg.

Lynette Eason has some good ones! I liked the second, third and fourth books in her Danger Never Sleeps series, but most people liked the first one, too. I also liked the first one in her Extreme Measures series and want to read the others.

Or if you like more of a middle-grade family story set in space, I've also written one :)

It seems like most of the 'horses and cowboys' books I've read recently have been either historicals, or in the 'Love Inspired' line of books (as far as modern day cowboys), which I'm not sure has as much depth as you might want considering the KK novel tackled some pretty deep topics. I'll keep thinking about it, and maybe someone else can point you in a better direction!

April's genre is April: American Civil War > point-of-view characters from both the Union and the Confederacy.
This means the rule is that the book must include at least one point of view character on the Union side of the war AND at least one point of view character on the Confederacy side of the war.
One example is Gilbert Morris's Bonnets and Bugles series, in which Jeff and Leah are on opposite sides of the war. It's told in omniscient style, so both perspectives are given.
Other examples could be books in which a Union nurse takes care of a Confederate soldier OR a pair of brothers take up arms on opposite sides of the Mason Dixon line.
Please tell us who the POV characters are AND which side of the war they both represented.

Caitlin from New York travels to Atlanta in search of her brother
Noah supports the Confederacy
It's been many years since I read this book so I don't remember many details. I loved it though.

Adelaide is a supporter of the Confederacy.
Luke is a Corporal in the Union."
I was thinking of this one.

Here's one I wrote that fits in that genre. There is a preview in the link:
Dragon?: Stories from the People of the Archives

Have heard of Healer's Blade by Kyrie Wang ?
Looking for two different recommendations...fairy tale retellings and books featuring dads as a main character. Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure of any Christian fiction retellings of fairytales, but a good book that features a dad as a main character is Susie Finkbeiner's The Nature of Small Birds

Oh my gracious, yes! The Hagenheim series! I've not yet read any of them, but they've been on my TBR list for a while, and I was 'today years old' when I realised they're fairytale retellings! How did I not see that? lol

Father MC:
The series should probably be read in order... but I read it out of order first and still enjoyed it. If I had it to do over, I'd read them in order, though.

This isn't beneficial to you as of yet but I will be writing Christian fairytale retellings very soon!!! I just finished my first book. I have some minor editing left. Then, I'm writing another stand-alone but as soon as those are completed, I'm beginning my fairytale retelling series!
If anyone is interested in being the first to hear about it, then feel free to subscribe to my newsletter. https://taylermbrooks.wordpress.com (just scroll to the bottom of my homepage) There will be opportunities to get free books! I've already planned out the whole series and can hardly wait to begin!!
Thanks for the suggestions all!
Kate, your "today years old" comment cracked me up.
Congratulations Tayler!
