Bonnie I'm happy one of the 2 systems I use kept having the hold pickup option throughout. None of your books are familiar to me Dan, what was your favorite of them?

OMalleycat | 1448 comments Hey, Dan, what did you think of The Policeman's Daughter?

Ann (annrumsey) | 16941 comments Nice list Dan and so great your library access has loosened up to parking lot pickup again.
I'm delaying reading the Don Winslow book(s) so tempting, but so loooong and out of practical reach amidst my remote work and reduced audio time.

Sherry | 4519 comments nice list, dan! good to hear about your library. ours are still closed.

message 6: by Dan in AZ (new)

Dan in AZ | 2960 comments Bonnie, The Cartel (Book 2 of 3) was very good, as was the first book in the trilogy.

message 7: by Dan in AZ (new)

Dan in AZ | 2960 comments Jan, I really enjoy this author and her MC. Housing project and surrounding depressed area ring true in my experience. My first assignment was in the Cabrini-Green project in Chicago. Just change the names to protect the guilty.

message 8: by Dan in AZ (new)

Dan in AZ | 2960 comments Ann, at over 600 pages this one did slow me down.

message 9: by Dan in AZ (new)

Dan in AZ | 2960 comments Sherry, the rules for picking up a book are about as complex as Barry’s job: make an appointment, enter the parking lot from a specific direction, have a large sign with your name, open side passenger window or trunk, do not pass Go or collect $200.

Merrilee in AZ | 1121 comments Good month. I’m mostly reading library ebooks.

Thanks, Dan. I read Out of the Blues and was 50/50 on it: liked the characters and setting, but not so much the plotting. Your encouragement tips me to try another.

Susie Fevella (susieinks) | 1797 comments Sounds like you could squish the books together and make one big book :)

oy! but at least you'll have access because we know that none of us have a huge TBR full of books we haven't read yet... lol

Dan in AZ | 2960 comments True. Not quite an essential business but still appreciated.
